  1. Cover is awesome... back in mid 1990s Mr. O'Barr was selling all of the OA for this run through an art gallery and was asking $12K for each of the 4 covers. I think I still have the catalog somewhere... should try to dig it up.
  2. Ah thanks. Yeah I figured the case doesn't have UV coating, but I thought that the inner plastic envelop sealed the comic. I thought someone on youtube showed throwing a CGC slab in a bucket of water and the comic was fine.. but maybe it was because it wasn't in the bucket very long.
  3. Sorry if this topic has been answered before, but I tried searching the forums and cannot find a definitive answer. I thought that there was an inner layer for a CGC slab that completely encapsulates the comic where air doesn't go in or out, so how would outside humidity affect an CGC slabbed book?
  4. Total of 600 copies I believe which 595 of them were printed in error. 5 of them are file copies at DC I believe.
  5. Thanks all! And I took your suggestion candygram, and x'ed out the grade from the seller.
  6. Thank you all in advance. Looking to purchase this WWBN 32, and the seller graded it at x.x with a price as such, but the corner crease, major spine ticks, and top corner nicks is concerning. Having a hard time pulling the trigger.
  7. Just to let yall know USPS finally "found" the package and delivered it to CGC. I received an email that CGC has indeed received it. Apparently USPS had a mix-up in their tracking system and I received a tracking number for some other person's package. Today I sent some more books to CGC via USPS Registered mail and the clerk gave me a hard time saying that I cannot send the package to a company name... it has to be a person.
  8. Thank you for the quick reply on your experience! May I ask if your two packing slips are the same or did you put in 2 separate submissions of 10 books each? Thanks!
  9. So I am preparing to ship 20 books to CGC using the large shipping kit and was wondering if I need to provide 2 packing slips, one for each of the 2 batches of 10 books that fits into each Gemini mailers? I watched the short video on how to use the large shipping kits but it was not clear on this. Thanks!
  10. Thanks for the reply! It took jumping hoops to get anyone on a call at USPS. I even went to the Post Office and got ahold of a supervisor, and she couldn't even reach anyone at the main office yesterday. I finally got a callback from their main office today, and they claim that the recipient (CGC) asked for the forwarding and sent me a Proof of Delivery letter copy with the signature of the recipient (SChen), but they said they will continue to investigate but will take 3 days to resolve. I just sent an email with the letter and info to CGC Services asking if they actually did ask for the forwarding but I find that weird since Pennsylvania is no where close to Florida. Anyway since CGC is closed today I think I will have to wait until tomorrow the very least to hear the answer.
  11. I sent $7000 worth of books to CGC via USPS Registered Mail, and they just delivered it to some individual in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania...
  12. Just wanted to update that it is now CGC slabbed, graded 9.4 white pages. Qualified label of course. I did not have it pressed. Thanks everyone for your inputs!
