wanted to buy - Perfect Crime # 23

Looking for a strong Fine to VF with off white to white pages, graded or raw. No restoration! Thanks
  2. Normal Rules No HOS or Probies US Destinations only. Free shipping and insurance. PayPal preferred. References available. 1st or similar in the thread wins it. I'm in the process of moving, and most of my stuff is at my new place, so I can post better photographs this weekend, if anyone is interested. The photos you see were taken for my own records for insurance purposes, and I put a copy of my water bill in the photo to prove I actually own it Ghostly Tales #55 feat. 1st appearance of Dr. Graves, Ditko art, and a cool Nazi cover. What more can you ask for? This is considered by many to be a Charlton key, with the added bonus of having the (somewhat) rare "double cover" error. Both covers are graded 9.0. Last I checked, I think there were only 5 total copies graded, this being the 2nd highest (unrestored) graded. The only issue with this is that the CGC case has a crack on it (this is how it arrived when I purchased it years ago from eBay). Was asking $600/best offer. Price drop to $550/best offer.

Question for the Matt Baker experts - Pop Teenagers 5

I am a total newb in Golden Age/early Silver comics, but I have tried to educate myself on these and other message boards, as well as conducting my own research online and in OS price guides. That said, the only reason the AR version came to my attention is because an honest seller on eBay made this distinction in his listing. Considering the CLink auction stated it was a Star Publication, which is supported by the CGC label (which, in the auction listing, is much easier to read than the AR insignia), I do think people could make that mistake, which is why I asked for clarification.

    Still a great copy!

Question for the Matt Baker experts - Pop Teenagers 5

P.S. The CLink rep indicated the Accepted version was printed four years after the original series ended.

Question for the Matt Baker experts - Pop Teenagers 5

I sent an email to CLink and they added a note to the auction within the hour. I feel better now.... I hate seeing someone get screwed.

Question for the Matt Baker experts - Pop Teenagers 5

Ack! I realize I put Baker but, yes, I meant L.B. Cole. That's what I get for posting before my first cup of coffee!
  9. I noticed that there's a CGC graded Pop Teenagers 5 in the upcoming auction. The CGC label designates Star Publications, but the insignia on the comic itself is Accepted Reprint. Is this a mistake by CGC? Can someone shed some light on this? I've seen people selling the Accepted Reprint version on eBay, and they seem to go in the $500-$600 range. Is a reprint really "worth" that much, or do these people not realize there's an earlier printing out there, rare as it may be?

    Preservation/Storage question

Thanks for the reply, Tony S. Do you ever find damage to boxed slabs if they lean at an angle (if the box is not full and they do not stand perfectly straight)?
