How dependent was it on seeing Ms Marvel the series?

A main part of the movie is around a pair of bangles that is a large source of power (of which Ms Marvel has one and the villain has the other).  I think it's touched about in the movie, but the series goes a lot more in depth on how Ms Marvel acquired hers...if you find that interesting like I do.  So there may be some things around her history and family that are quickly glossed over in the movie.  ScreenCrush does a real nice recap of the entire series:

I hadn't read the comics so I'm not sure how closely they follow her origin story there.

  2. I'm really enjoying the show so far, can't wait for next week's episode.

I'm the opposite with regards to his fighting style.  He's waaay too stiff, like he's counting the moves in his head like it's some rehearsed motion.  There's nothing fluid about it.  And as a result, I don't feel his saber sequences translate well on screen.  Conversely, Shin Hati's fights have been great because she moves as though there's a level of rage just boiling under the surface.

I saw someone that pointed out that he holds high lightsaber almost like a giant broadsword, as if there appears to be some "weight" to it.  This is also reflected in the power in the strikes he uses against Ahsoka prior to her heading over the cliff.  So his fighting form is reflected accordingly. I'm choosing to go with this theory.

Well, it looks like Episode 2 has also been posted on Hulu. Haven't had to flip over to Disney+ - nor any promotion notes to do so. Though the screen advertisements note "Only on Disney+".

Maybe they'll add the rest if enough people watch on these channels? Only showing first 2 episodes so far

I don’t doubt that. People are also stupid. Have you met the general population? Isn’t Avatar the highest grossing movie of all time?

I liked the first Captain Marvel, in particular the themes around standing back up after being knocked down (in life, etc). Also enjoyed watching Ms. Marvel with my daughter, so very much looking forward to this sequel.

  5. I finally remembered where I had seen them before, on the show "Royal Pains" on USA Network (from like 12 years ago).  As a side note, I loved those "Blue Sky" era shows on USA - Monk, Psych, Royal Pains, Burn Notice.  I really wish networks still made shows like that.  Seems like everything now has to be so edgy or gritty, but maybe I'm just not finding them (or I'm too old now :) )

Its a shame Daniel Radcliffe can't find a good production to be in

On the other hand, quality has taken a huge nosedive

I'd like to watch this one...

Edit: as long as they don't invent some fake controversy...since Weird Al is a national treasure and must be protected
