  1. Tough to find? I had bought one but the seller sent the wrong book and it had a big ding on the cover that somehow got through grading. I don't buy many books, so it's kind of frustrating looking around
  2. I mean it's gone up a bit since then, but I'm not looking in the super high grade. Thanks for the feedback
  3. Looking for an opinion. I'm wanting to pick up an asm 252. I tried once before and got a bum deal(had to return it) and never got around to picking up again. I see the price has gone up a couple of hundred since then. Should I get one now or give it some time? I figure when the black suit gets mentioned/introduced in the MCU, it's gonna go up even more and don't want to have to pay a fortune
  4. Yeah, it was slabbed. Looked great other than that book imperfection Oh, already sent back to the seller. It wasn't tampered with from what I saw. It looks worse in the pic because up close, but still it was pretty noticeable enough to warrant a lesser grade IMO
  5. Nah, it looked brand new. Label? I mean it's just a normal blue label. Graded in feb of this year
  6. Got a return for it, so I guess it can be someone else's problem. Still, that shouldn't be a 9.6 at all
  7. Yeah, I looked up their other auctions and both had the same serial. I'm requesting the refund. It's a fairly new seller, so maybe honest mistake
  8. Yeah, it's pretty solid other than that, but damn is that a huge flaw. Thing that sucks is It was impossible to see in photos. This hobby is downright aggravating. I get screwed on poorly graded raw books, and then just as screwed on "professionally" graded... Edit:...Well holy mess. Now I know why. The one they sent doesn't match the serial on the photo
  9. I picked up an ASM 252 and it was perfect except for this really gnarly gouge on the cover. It almost looks touched up with how it looks lifted and pressed back down. Of course there were no grader notes. Thoughts?
  10. Yeah, I used scissors, but it was like this before I cut it out. Also, there's no way I could cut a clean square shape out like that with scissors. This was an older style(not old label) that you can pop apart by just pulling the center seam on the side Edit: Here's a better pic. See how there's like straight cut, small squared off, straight cut, squared off Edit2: Now that I look at the back compared to my reader copy, it looks like the result of a poor cut from the factory. My reader is cut off more than this one(cgc left, reader right)
  11. Oh, I wasn't even talking about the corner. I was meaning that big square slice cut out of the back cover in the pic(no, it wasn't my scissors skills lol). Definitely wasn't tampered with, as the case and inner mylar thing were sealed. Just thought it was a crazy grade for the condition
  12. I cracked open this guy and was disturbed by how terrible it looked. In addition to this mangled corner, the back was off center, had dents in the spine, and a noticeable stacking curl. Is stuff like that normal for a 9.6 or am I overreacting?
  13. I've never been to one before. I might have to try one Well, because I wasn't collecting anything years ago
  14. Should I try to jump on an ASM 300 now or do y'all think it will cool down after the movie? It's getting out of my reach now
