  1. I follow MCS grading and a sub crease usually knocks the book down to a 4.0. But that is a great looking 4.0!
  2. I had sent a book Priority to MCS in Arlington TX and it hit at least 25 different post offices in Texas before I had USPS intercept it and send it back to me after three weeks. Used UPS and it arrived safely in two days. Used to buy from an ebay seller in Atlanta. The packages would go from Atlanta to Memphis, ship back to Atlanta and then to Birmingham AL.
  3. This one was in poor condition as the last page (an ad page) was ripped out. Didn't affect the story.
  4. Been looking for an affordable copy of this for a while. Won this and was curious to what you all would grade this one at. It has its fair share of problems. On the fc there is the missing piece and cover oxidation. Extra staples were once in but removed (visible holes on the bc). Tanning along the edges and a bit more pronounced on the inside fc. The white spots on each corner of the bc are the actual cover itself that wasn't tanned or stained. The pages are tanning but not brittle. Staples are secure with no rust. Thanks for looking!
  5. With a name like The Whizzer, his yellow costume was an apt choice in case he had an accident.
  6. 5.0 to 5.5. I remember getting this issue as part of my subscription to Batman back in the Stone Age.
  7. This was sooo hard. I narrowed it down to at least 50, but kept coming back to this one. The Anderson interiors match up to the cover.
  8. Buying off of Ebay is often hit or miss. The seller didn't grade it but did provide a dozen pictures. I was worried about how it would look when it was in my hands. Thankfully this worked out well for me.
  9. Posted these in the Flash thread. Ben wanting a decent copy of 121 for quite a long time. Finally landed one.
  10. I've been after a decent (and affordable) copy of 121 for a long time. Very happy to have landed one. The 80 Page Giants are just for fun.
  11. There are sooo many things I could say in reference to this cover, but I won't.
  12. It is. See if you can buy the left one for a better price.
  13. Sometimes that is the only way to get an affordable copy of a book you wouldn't be able to get otherwise.
  14. Has some water damage and a staple detached at the centerfold for a good plus.
  15. Posted these in the Flash Collectors. 147 is a 1.5, the 148 is a 4.0 and the 150 a 5.5.
  16. Picked these up from an online seller I've been buying from for years. The Flash 147 is a 1.5 as it has staining (coffee?) on the back cover and along the left side of the front cover. The 148 is a vg with an sc which for some reason is heavier on the back cover than the front. The 150 is a 5.5. Really happy with the three of them
  17. If you are just watching an auction, no. At least I've never gotten anything unless I have bid on an item and been outbid. But if you are watching items in the "view my bids" you can see the bids coming in.
  18. You can do a quick search at MCS for bound volumes and see what they have and what prices are asked. You could also go through their past auctions and see what bound volumes have gone for. The latter takes some time but there have been a lot of SA books sold in bound fashion via auction.
