How bad do comic pages fade over time?

I don’t have really vintage comics in my collection, so how badly do comic pages fade with time? I’ve heard the colors get drastically dimmer.

My comic cover is shorter than the page length. Will this cause the pages to turn yellow quicker?

Hi, I’m new to this forum and really joined just for advice. I’m sort of new to collecting and have 50 or so modern comics. However, they are Archie Mega Man and Sonic comics and occassionally their front covers are smaller than the actual pages and it leaves a portion of the page exposed. Will this promote the exposed page to become yellow or oxidate faster? Will this cause any sort of damage?
