  1. Quick follow-up. In the process of putting together a CGC submission and wanted a definitive answer on the metal covers. Response from CGC: Can't wait to get home to check!
  2. Thanks for the info guys. Have a couple of Lady Death books with Swarovski crystals. This is my most recent one: La Muerta: Ascension. They're awesome in hand. Looking into BCW show case displays or something comparable now.
  3. Does CGC grade comics with jewels glued on the cover or comics with a metal cover? Thanks in advance. Could not find the answers anywhere! Edit: Found examples of CGC graded comics with metal covers. How about jewels?!
  4. Heard great things about it. Hope to start watching today. EDIT: On second thought, I need to finish Umbrella Academy first!
  5. Thanks! It was graded on 11/26/2018. Seeing a lot of books graded around that time with old labels.
  6. Thanks for all the info. The new slabs are gorgeous and feel so sturdy. Hope CGC has plans to update the magazine slabs. Have a few magazines I need to send in!
  7. Sweet, thanks for the quick feedback! I was worried for a second. First magazine slab, first 9.9, and first graded Batman Damned... didn't want my first to be ruined lol!
  8. Just acquired a Batman Damned #1 Variant Cover SS by Jim Lee. My first magazine sized slab. Few things on the label look odd to me. Hoping for help in determining if it's 'normal' or someone tampered with it. 1) The grade is not pitch black. Faded or common color? 2) Appears there is no seal along the entire top of the label 3) The top right corner of the label appears to have been sealed between the plastic 4) The top left corner of the label is not between plastic. It is exposed. 5) There are some odd markings on the back and top of the left side of the slab 6) The sides of the slab are not glued together. They are easily pulled apart. 7) The label number is in the CGC database See pics. Thanks for any insight.
  9. Yeah, qualified confuses me. Seems certain that signatures on the front, clipped coupons, or missing pages nearly guarantees a green label. Not sure about writing/drawing on the interior. Any idea how much of a grade loss would be had with this sort of inking?
  10. Got a decent copy of Detective Comics #359, but at some point someone decided to draw on an interior page with pen. Will this get a Qualified label or just lower the grade a bit (or something else)? Thanks in advance. Surprised I couldn't find a direct answer to this question already.
  11. Curious to know this too. I got a virgin variant dell otto-- my favorite one. Want the moebius one too, but hoping price comes down a bit more.
  12. I was lucky to get one at cover price. I just liked the cover had no idea it would blow up. Still pretty hot. The aquaman jabberjaw #1 middleton variant was hot ($10-15) when it came out, but has cooled down a bit.
