  1. Sounds like Mike is a solid businessman that supports and stabilizes the hobby we love so much. His collection could be run by someone who could easily throw a wrench into the market. He loves transactions, the people, and the hobby. Good for him.
  2. Picked up the Superman Batman Omnibus today. Never read the series during the run. Fun series so far and great art!
  3. I do question how he is able to crank out so many of those head sketches each week. I imagine he has a set template he goes to for characters. I love his art and have a bit of everything from him. I asked for a head sketch of Mr Sinister and it looked exactly like a google image head shot. Was a bit disappointed and was hoping for some originality. 😔
  4. Good advice. But to be fair I have had all smooth transactions on this site, sell my art at deep discounts, and have a flawless record on eBay with over 300 pages sold. I’d hope I would be remembered for that than an off the cuff remark. I should have said “that might have to be mine”. Apologize.
  5. I am going to have to re-calibrate my original art gauge. I was estimating this to go over $1000. Top artist check, key issue check, Chris Claremont prime check. Was really surprised at the final hammer being $500. 🍇 🦍 scared me off, ha ha.
  6. That's why you buy a Certificate of Authenticity for the Certificate of Authenticity.
  7. Nice piece of comic history on ebay auction today, page from Wolverine #1. No Wolvie but interested to see what this will end up going for. 3 hrs left sitting at $383, thoughts on the final hammer? https://www.ebay.com/itm/John-Buscema-Original-Art-Wolverine-1988-1st-Series-1-Page-2-LOOK/154167660559?hash=item23e51bd00f%3Ag%3ASfAAAOSwD8Ffmzxv&LH_Auction=1
  8. I have purchased several pieces from there without COAs. No one can fake his signature, you are good.
  9. LOVE Larry Hama, Let me repeat, I love me some Larry Hama. BUT his pencil work left a lot a work for the inker to bring the art to life.
  10. Nice Mike Grell Green Arrow commission. Ok, little cheating here. It was an 11x17 Englishman with a longbow illustration he did for a novel. But come on.....I’m calling it a Green Arrow commission!!
  11. Nice little bonus in the mail I didn’t ask for. Mike sent me a copy with digital inks same size as my commission!
  12. That's the Thomas Wayne Batman...here I will sub it out.
  13. Which do you prefer: Bob Layton's art on Iron Man or Sal Buscema's Hulk?
  14. Here it is. It was sketches he had for 298 and 300/301.
  15. $225k its a recognizable cover, most people can tell you the issue number I thought McFarlane owned this? I remember seeing a video of him realizing he had it. I’ll ferret it out
