  1. Let me start off with an apology that these are not comic art. But they are original pencils. Found several of these going through my parents old things. Know nothing about them other than that they are from England and at least over 40 years old. any info appreciated.
  2. I guarantee it’s his. He brags about the different styles he’s able to do. Someone probably said could you do an animated Batman series sketch and he said.... “For $600 I’ll draw anything you want.” I think he would do tattoos at his table if the price was right.
  3. Not sure if turning this forum into yelp is a good idea.
  4. I always found Jack’s voice so soothing, sometimes I’ll listen to some of his old interviews even though I’ve heard the many times.
  5. The new Batman trailer looks incredible. Might give his work a bump in price. New Suicide Squad movie be helmed by Gunn couldn’t hurt either.
  6. The real first appearance would be a prelim of the original art page. Everything else is a clone.
  7. I’ve bought some bad Byrne art (Doom Patrol) before.
  8. Great Claremont run X-MEN The End series by Sean Chen. Anthony’s seems to have most of the run at a GREAT price.
  9. Thanks. Have no idea why this wasn't coming up in my search.
  10. How much does he lean on this? Is it fair to say it makes up 90% off his work over the last 5-10 years? It's robbed the OA community of such great artwork over the past decade. It's a shame.
  11. Whatever came of the Arthur Suydam commission? Did you get an apology from him or an “I owe U”?
  12. Thanks for the shares and advice. Might not be a grail for some but Rob Liefeld has always been an interesting cat and as a child of the 80’s I connected with his pouches and shoulder pads, and this splash has both!
  13. Just curious, how do you think the DC liquidation effects OA prices? Never even thought about it.
  14. My next questions was going to be the best way/tape to connect the two boards.
  15. I bet if we were all tasked to go find 10 copies of X force #1 within one hour most of us could do it.
  16. Rob Liefeld. Graduates high school and with NO formal/professional training gets a job with DC at 19. Nobody wanted to work on Hawk and Dove so Mike Carlin gives it to him while telling him nobody else wanted it. He does 5 issues with Carlin telling him how bad he is. Marvel offers him a job around the same time. Within 3 years at Marvel he co-creates a comic at Marvel whose fist issue sells 4 million copies. At 23 when most of us are fresh out of college he partners up and creates the third largest comic book publisher. Even today he is enthusiastic about what he does. He is a comic book fan who would do what any of us would have done and more. I'ts not his fault people gave him jobs and bought his comics. Over the years I have softened up on the guy and even purchased a few pages, not because of the work, but because I admire the kid. Here's a great video on Rob that might give you a better appreciation.
