  1. Im curious about just walking into an abandoned property. Based on a quick google search you still need permission from someone to enter. Assuming the mortgage was paid in full, somebody must be paying the taxes. And if nobody pays the taxes doesnt it go to the gov't or something? any insights?
  2. I just finished reading Les Daniels Five Fabulous Decades of Marvel. I may do a review of it on a separate post. The book covers Marvel History from 1939-1989. I was wondering if there is a similar book (with illustrations, not just text) on Marvel from 1990 into the 2000s?
  3. I believe it is raw. He hasnt shown it to me yet. Its a person I do business with often so I have no reason not to believe him. I will have more info once he invites me over to look at it. May be a while. Contacting dealers is a good idea. I was thinking to reach out to Heritage as well, but too premature right now.
  4. I may be coming across a DC27 that someone wants to unload in Fair to GD- condition. I cant seem to find too many sales for this book slabbed or raw. I checked ebay, HA, gocollect (non pro subscription) - Where should I be looking?
  5. now this is interesting..so there is a possibility it can be changed.. so my follow up to this is who decides or has influence? CGC the owners of this forum? that would make the most sense.
  6. This just dawned on me today. The modern age is now at a 30 year point. Is there an end in sight? what comes next? Also...Until now the Age's were in Metal value order [Gold, Silver, Bronze, Copper] It seems the next Age should have been Brass Age, then maybe Aluminum Age, then Iron Age etc.. These things keep me up at night.
  7. First Class depends on distance it is going. A gemini with 1 book is under 8oz, will run you $4-5 roughly
  8. when I searched him the "KW" came up a lot. Maybe he uses both? edit: did some more digging - it is Keith Williams - Topic Closed
  9. This is a Hulk 315. I couldnt match up signature with any of the credits. Dennis O'Neil , Don Daley ; Jim Shooter , John Byrne; Keith Williams, Andy Yanchus, Rick Parker Anyone?
  10. Here is an article related to this topic.. https://blog.gocollect.com/comic-books-bear-market-time-to-stock-up-on-major-keys/
  11. do i need a subscription to view the gpa graphs? ive never used the site..
  12. Forgive me if there is a discussion on this already, you can just point me to it if there is... Ive been selling books since 2018 and correct me if Im wrong, but Im seeing a downward trend in prices especially on major keys. I just did comps on FF 48 49 50 from last year to this year and there is a significant decrease in overall value. Great for the buyer, not so great for the seller. Any thoughts on why this is happening? And will this continue into 2023?

  14. Thanks. I need for sensitive, more complex restoration. But its good to know they do the minor work. I though they were only pressing.
  15. Looking for comic restoration companies - any recommendations? You can PM me or post here.
  16. ok ok - A woman contacted me that her husband had past away last year and he was a collector. After her mourning period she decided to look into his large collection. With the help of some friends she was able to assess the value of the collection to a degree. She decided to test the waters and go looking for a buyer to take her top picks which are these 11 books. She found me because I have my name out on Social Media that I buy books. I will not disclose what I paid, but it was below market value and she knew it and was ok with it. We were both happy. Hopefully she will sell me the rest. She is not in a rush.
  17. that is a good point. I didnt know that thread existed. I dont come on these forums so often. Anyway to move it now?
  18. I buy and sell comics. People contact me to sell their books. I pay them money to buy their books.
  19. Just acquired this gem. This is a real bummer because if you didnt have those cutouts (5 total) this book would be a nice high grade. Pages are crisp and clean. Cover is vibrant. Im thinking this would make a great replacement cover for a restored book. I believe some of the cutouts take away from the story panels making this incomplete. And yes, I do plan to sell it. What do you think CGC would grade this at roughly? Additional Question: If you were selling this would you bother to slab and sell or sell raw so someone can use it for "parts"?
