  1. I have 2 9.9 Sig Series books that I just got back today, but the census report reflects 0 9.9s for both the covers. What is the lag time on census updates? 4330551003 and 004 for the serials.
  2. Thank you, E5150 - your response is far more useful than the standard "send us your book and money" admin answer when a post like this already exists.
  3. I have come across some of my books (late 70's/early 80's) where a single interior page is folded up into the book and not cut. I am not wanting to get caught "trimming" and curious as to the best way to handle this. Does it impact the grade to "leave it tucked"? Does CGC handle these in a way where it still gets blue label?
  4. Cool! Doesn't have to make sense to you. Manufacturers errors are a niche that you don't look at, but I do.
  5. Perhaps because i wanted it certified as a manufacturing error? That make sense to you?
  6. nice. Just a "note" on the label with nothing on the census, so like newsstand/direct and other variations, there's no accurate count on them.
  7. That makes sense. Mine is in Red Sonja 2 and the only other one I saw via Google was Alpha Flight 3, both from 10/83. I only see Canadian edition on the census, so I wonder if they would be recognized as variants. Guess i'll find out if RS3 is worth a nice chunk in 30 years.
  8. I think I've only seen 2 or 3 of these so far, but I am wondering if these are recognized as variant books (similar to Mark Jewelers). I am not sure what percentage of books have the ads in them, but it appears to be a very limited number.
  9. FYI, I submitted this "book" (I know, cover only) and it just came back with CVR and didn't really make a specific callout of a manufacturers defect. Is this what should have happened? A bit confused, as if it wasn't deemed authentic, I wouldn't have had it slabbed.
  10. I understand that it would have to be assessed, but assuming it were to come back as a legitimate manufacturer's defect, what type of label would it get? I'm used to blue label and have seen the other colors, as well as books that have no grade where it just says CVR on the slab and am curious how it would be labeled.
  11. I found an "oddity" - literally a cover with no contents on a Walmart giant. The only way I can see to confirm the "book" is just a cover is how the cover folding is not square (as these are squarebound format). I suspect that further review likely would not find any binding material inside the cover, though I am in no hurry to introduce any more wear than necessary. I know double covers get special labeling and that there is a "CVR" label, but are there options to get this certified as a legitimate "cover only" manufacturing error?
