  1. Assuming you're going to slab it (which I would), I'd send it to CCS to have them review to advise on resto (removal) and possible conservation.
  2. And, an added bonus: Joey is within driving distance of CGC and often drives your books to their door.
  3. I'm thinking 2.5-3.0 range. Between the spine and the other creases and chunks, that seems about right.
  4. Actually it is... it's their proprietary grading system: "Near Middlin'."
  5. Those older slabs had the CGC sticker on top of the case. It would peel off over time.
  6. To my eyes, with a good cleaning, this book should be at 6.5 or so. So either you guys are way off... ...or I'm overdue at the optometrist.
  7. And you got this a couple years ago for $100... yowza...
  8. 1.5 Qualified. Still a helluva book!
  9. I had a beautiful ASM 33... except... for a crease not unlike that one. I sold it on eBay as a 6.0 unslabbed. I remember it vividly because months later, the buyer contacted me and said: "Hey, remember that raw ASM 33 you sold me as a 6.0? I just got it back from CGC... it got a 6.0 Thought you'd like to know." So I'm saying... 6.0.
  10. I would still slab that bad boy. In general, I prefer to slab keys. Only exception: if it's this grade range but ALSO with a cut-out (like ASM 20 often has), then I'd sell it raw. JMHO. Despite the water stains, still a great book!
  11. Mine was a 3.5, and it had a small chunk out of the cover. I think this could be at LEAST 3.5, with a C & P.
  12. Or is it gone? I just want to know, before I drive myself crazy looking for it. LOL
  13. Wow. Well done. You're like... ...the comic book mentalist.
  14. Depending on what it is, a clean and press could make a huge difference. If it's a tear, and water damage, then no. But dirt and a bent corner? Yes. Assuming the latter... I'd go 7.0 after "treatment".
  15. What is that glurtch in the upper left corner? Is it a tear or dirt or a stain or what? Great looking book otherwise.
  16. 5.5 here, as we appear to have achieved herd grading immunity!
  17. 3.5-4.0... wonder if a press would damage it (be nice to fix that spine roll). @joeypost Great book!!!! edit: didn’t see the graded image. Awesome!!!
  18. I'm more 4.0-4.5. And definitely press and slab it!
