  1. 6.0 now, 6.5-7.0 after a press. Great book!
  2. CGC rocks! They unrestored a few of my biggest books. Congrats!
  3. You people overreact sometimes. I bought a comic off eBay once... had a teensy bit of a crack... ...hardly noticeable!
  4. I wish I could take more credit for "knowledge"... I actually had TWO of these books, both minus the poster, and didn't realize it on EITHER until I got them both back from CGC.... both with green labels.
  5. I will say in defense of eBay that I sold off the lions share of my collection there (12 longboxes), and had excellent experiences there by and large, with both small AND big ticket items.
  6. Just confirming... it's still got the poster in the back, right? That gets removed a lot. I know from experience.
  7. It's not restored. But figure the highest grade that a book with tape can get is VG+/-. And you're not the first to miss tape. I had a TTA27 with tape on the inside cover that I never noticed until I got it back from CGC.
  8. Looks like my copy, which came back a 7.5. Hopefully you'll do better!
  9. I looked up some of his current sales... it seems he's turned over a bit of a new leaf. He mentions restoration in his descriptions. https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_nkw=&_in_kw=1&_ex_kw=&_sacat=0&_udlo=&_udhi=&_ftrt=901&_ftrv=1&_sabdlo=&_sabdhi=&_samilow=&_samihi=&_sadis=15&_stpos=32205&_sargn=-1%26saslc%3D1&_salic=1&_fss=1&_fsradio=%26LH_SpecificSeller%3D1&_saslop=1&_sasl=all_things_comics&_sop=12&_dmd=1&_ipg=200&_fosrp=1
  10. The little blue sticker says its a FN. If you can't trust the little blue sticker, who can you trust?
  11. Without photos, it's hard to say... but based on the notes, you may find the easier path to serenity being acceptance. Otherwise you'll spend more money... ...and have more frustration. (sure, it LOOKS fun... but... )
  12. This guy I know sent a bunch of AF15's to CGC. Next thing you know, CGC's legal team is involved. True story!
  13. (j/k... one of my fave malapropisms from AB... actually they both kind of work)
  14. You never know... This book... with a bigger piece out... got a 2.5.
  15. “Today is born our savior, Jesus Christ the Lord!” That’s what Christmas is all about, Charlie Brown.” Merry Christmas to all!
  16. Is nobody else having difficulty seeing the images? Maybe I AM old.
  17. I can't see your graded book image, but I went in with the other folks at 3.5.
  18. I think I am too. I had an ASM 31 that was pristine, except for a massive diagonal crease from top left to about mid right of the cover. Sold it as a 6.0 on eBay raw. The guy who bought it from me submitted it to CGC. It came back as a 6.0. Whew. So in general, I'd say 6.0 is the highest for a book with a big crease. This book has other minor issues... so maybe a 5.0? Still a dang nice part of your mighty Marvel stash.
  19. First off, this book needs a press like no other book I've seen. It's almost too tough to grade without a press. I'll hazard a 5.0 with a press, but that's really just... ...spitballing.
  20. You did very well... and your experience gives hope to those of us who own great-looking books... with water stains.
