  1. I think 9 of the pages have sold this far, and the seller is already close to taking home 1.5 million if the splash page sells? Or Heaven help us the cover?? The sky is the limit!
  2. hooray for Don Heck by the way! Huge number for him
  3. Was that She-Hulk 1 page high or low? I know it sold a few years ago but I can’t remember for what…
  4. I always deal with Matt Griffin at HA, and he’s the best! willing to negotiate on seller fees and very fair with advances.
  5. I also have this prelim sketch by Pasqual Ferry of the first appearance of Kid Loki. i paid $15 for it!
  6. I still don’t know who the eff you guys are taking about 😆🤷🏻‍♂️
  7. Seems like this is particularly Bronze Age DC bronze age Kirby Marvel stuff (BP, Machine Man, Eternals, etc) still do well from my vantage point but maybe I’m wrong?
  8. Maybe? I mean part of the reason the Iron Man mythology survived and became so big in pop culture is due to Don and his work. The character may not have connected without Don as the artist
  9. I’m a big Don Heck fan, so happy to see a page of his hit such a high number!
  10. I bought a page for 4.5k 3 years ago from Antony Snyder. Ended up selling it at heritage a year later for almost flat (I might have even taken a bit of a loss) someone is selling it now for 27k!!! that’s just crazy. The dealer AND auction market both spoke on this page… there’s aspirational, then there’s crazy
  11. I have about 15 commissions now. I usually ask for characters I like that I associate the artist with. I give very minor specifics (usually I’ll suggest a particular era for example) and leave the rest to them. I’ve never paid more than $250 (usually much less) and I’ve been pretty much thrilled each time! some examples Michael Golden - Hellstrom Ramona Fradon - Scarlet Witch Ron Frenz - Mr Fantastic Bob McLeod - Rahne Sinclair Butch Guice - Scott Summers Mike Vosburg - She Hulk
  12. Commissioned this from Butch Guice. I loved early X-Factor as a kid and loved their look. Especially Scott! Butch was a Dream artist to commission with. Great communication and he really puts his all in to the work I’m just thrilled with how this turned out
  13. I also posted the update, that it was going to be a cover, on the social media page, and Rob himself gave it a thumbs up. I suspect if I was wrong he would’ve corrected me
  14. I know Rob draws it out on paper then copies it to blue line and does all additional work (inks, color, effects, etc) on the copy. so these pencils are the only pencils done for the cover. I assume he had the copy on file and submitted it as a variant but not 100% sure how that all played out ( when I got it, I posted about it on social media and Rob chimed in. Said he really liked how it turned out, the powers that be went in a different direction. So I think he had it ready to go if another opportunity were to ever come up)
  15. Just got this in the mail from Val Mayerik. I love getting sketches of iconic characters from legendary artists
  16. I know there was a thread on this a long time ago, but I can’t find it. I wanted to share that a Rob Liefeld sketch I bought two years ago from Glen Brunswick (on their dealer YouTube show) is going to be a variant cover on an upcoming issue of Uncanny Avengers I'm very excited!!!
  17. Interesting auction. While the premium stuff had very little action, the low end stuff is very active. can’t speak towards prices, or whether it means the market is “softening”, just noticing how it’s a little different than the American auctions that seem lately to have a lot of action on high end pages while the mid-lower pages seem stagnant
