  1. You know what grebal, I’m not a huge sig fan either believe it or not. I prefer nice clean covers but the Stan Lee signs are growing on me primarily due to his enormous popularity, icon status and the seemingly proliferous demand.
  2. Nice sarcasm but I think You’re staring at your TV for hours on end, not for a few seconds every blue moon. Not in the least comparable.
  3. I’ve seen a CGC avengers #1 with his sig that was signed Sept. 24th this year. Definitely a rough looking sig but still very interesting.
  4. Hey human torch, yes maybe bragging a little bit about my collection but what’s wrong with that? This is a comic collection board is it not? And regarding the finger I think you're over-reacting a bit, I’m sure you’ve seen heard and done a lot worse. We’re all adults here right? Complaining about a pic of a middle finger seems quite persnickety on your part.
  5. Ya ok mystafo, why don’t you re-read all of your posts in this thread and see just how useful your contributions have been. Why even get involved in a thread if you don’t like the content. You seem like a very pretentious person to me with a “holier than thou” attitude. I suggest you make like the wind and blow. Besides don’t you have more important things to do than squabble with the neophytes on this site? Now back to the discussion; although stan’s earlier signatures may be more fluid and cleaner, I still think that his most recent ones are just as valuable as well. The fact that it’s his name written in his hand is enough for me, although I have seen some smudgy ones done with thicker markers that are not overly appealing. And on another note regarding his last signing session as mentioned by gadzooks, generally speaking does anyone know if a signature is more valuable if it is written nearer to the signator’s Death?
  6. Serious question for low baller and no-man and anyone else on this thread who wants to share; what is your best Stan lee signature series book and would you part with it for the right price?
  7. Ok no-baller, I mean low baller, who are you exactly that you speak for everyone on the board. Be careful that you don’t start to brag and then can’t back it up. BTW I never claimed that these were my best books, just up there with my favourites. Rest assured that I’ve got a lot more ammo in store for goods like you should the necessity arise.
  8. No, I like the slabs as a way of protecting and safekeeping the books. I try to get lower grade reading copies of all my slabbed books.
  9. Not trying to prove anything, just demonstrating that I’ve lived up to the claims in my posts. And maybe just getting a few laughs and lightening up the mood. As far as your comment about the “superiority” of one collection versus another, I will concede that it is largely a subjective ordeal. I was basing it primarily on overall value which I think is a valid measure.
  10. I am surprised at how many people are so upset by the NR’s. I for one enjoy looking at my graded comics and their covers for a few minutes every once in a while and then I put them back in storage for a lengthy while. I am much more focused on the fact that they are quantified with a grade and protected. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t love them or anything, I just don’t mind them. I guess I can agree that a clear case without the rings would be better. Anyway I’ll tell you what; anyone who wants to sell one of their key books at a slight discount because of NR please contact me for an offer. And that goes for cracked/damaged cases as well. For me It’s about the comics much more than it is about the holders!
  11. My opinion on newton rings is that as long as it isn’t excessive enough to detract from the overall view of the cover, and as long as it doesn’t harm the book in any way shape or form, who cares they are kind of neat.
  12. Lazya-s, I mean lazy boy, what is pathetic is you copying a few brief, out of context blurbs from a back and forth string. You’re comment is not appreciated ( they started it, lol). If you have something of relevance to contribute then fine, otherwise keep the personal comments to yourself. Your point about supply and demand is obviously correct but not very revealing except to those that do not have the most basic understanding of economics. So, that being said how do yo see the supply and demand of Stan lee’s Signature playing out moving forward?
  13. Very nice bob, I’m impressed. I have a 9.4 slabbed 181, I bought the vg as a reading copy. I like having reading copies of my high end slabbed books. I also have an ASM 129 9.6 white with a vg reading copy. Your hulk is very nice though, I’m actually jealous!
  14. That’s ok mystafo, thanks for stepping up. I accept your apology.
