  3. Just another data point. Grading 16 modern books Received 4/19 Grading/QC 5/20 Estimate at time of submission was 20 business days I believe. This is just my second submission. I remember the turnaround from G/QC to the Finalized/Imaged/Shipped was a day on first submission that had 6 books. F5, F5, F5... was definitely going on
  4. Arthur Adams Steve Ditko Adam Hughes Jim Lee Ron Lim Todd McFarlane Ed McGuiness Frank Miller John Romita Sr. Alex Ross This is difficult to do, I can't rank them or even feel confident I won't want to change this in 5 minutes...
  5. Thank you Mystafo, I was nervous to do this as I didn't want the cover to hold while insides shifted about as you mention. After reading numerous agreements with this method on another recently discovered thread, I meekly attempted to tap the book into a more aesthetically pleasing position. I finally found that appropriate amount of force to very gradually slide the book and I'm calling it a win. If this were an older book or perhaps even just more expensive I don't think I would have gambled at all. I wonder, for books that are crooked that have a wedge inside, could they be damaged or the wedge become poorly positioned if this method is attempted?
  6. That is awesome! Identifying enemy to fling slab at...
  7. Got a key delivered today that is sitting with the left edge tilted up noticeably. I figure that is just something that occurred on its way here and it really stands out to the eye. Is there a recommended method of recentering or even just straightening a crooked slabbed book? Thank you for your time!
  8. Excellent Bomber-Bob, now you've made me happy to have it in there
  9. The Lions Den - I'm all for learning, thank you also!
  10. TwoPiece - Thank you for the clear answer!
  11. I'm new to slabbing books, so I'm sure this is a laughably n00bish question. This was a hard picture to get w/o glare, but if you look at the bottom center, you can see what I believe to be some sort of space insert. That or that is an impressively symmetrical interior crack. Would someone please tell me what this is? I just don't know for certain what I'm looking at and of the other books I got back, none have this. I plan on giving this book to a friend and just to be able to act like I know what I'm talking about wrt whatever this is. Thank you for your time!
