  1. When was the last time a Tec 27 sold at auction? Has it really been almost two years (and longer for a complete blue label)?
  2. hmm, when final hammer price arrives at sellers bank account, i bet the depression is suddenly gone? No reason for the seller to be depressed. It's quite obvious that they don't care as long as there is a profit to be made.
  3. This type of "resto" is very depressing. So selfish.
  4. IIRC, that copy previously sold on HA.com for $107k (give or take). This was within the last two years...?
  5. I just can't stop looking at the blue 8.5 Tec 36 at the top of this page. Damn, that's a beauty...!
  6. He has the overlay - just chose to share the naked OA scan instead.
  7. Brings up an interesting question, though - what would a complete Tec 27 front/back cover be worth...? Assuming decent/average condition, I would think it'd be worth about the same as an average restored copy? Maybe 125k - 150k...? Would love to hear other opinions on this.
  8. PPP for a 1.0 (or a 1.5) is NOT the same as PPP for a mid-grade copy. There is more competition at the low end, as there are more buyers looking for any respectable complete copy - and so PPP is HIGHER for a 1.0 or a 1.5 than it would be for the same book in 2.5 or 3.5, etc. Pricing from one grade to the next is not a straight line.
  9. In case anyone is interested, we are now accepting pre-orders for the Blindbox TMNT 52 AF covers. Find them here: http://blindboxcomics.com/
  10. Latest update: Mehdi is down to hist final 9 sketches! Should hopefully have them all finished within a month.
  11. Neo contacted 215, who contacted Mehdi. Mehdi said that, yes, he does sketch covers, and sent samples. Somewhere along the way it got lost in translation and ended up as a sketch opp being offered by Neo. Now that everything has been straightened out with Mehdi, this sketch opp is being canceled. Sorry for any confusion. Neo did nothing wrong - it was just a miscommunication.
  12. As expected, this was a misunderstanding on Mehdi's part. This sketch opp does not exist. For the record: All of Mehdi's art sales and commissions go through CCA. That is all. Thanks
  13. I am currently looking into this. Suffice it to say, I am Mehdi's art rep, and I handle all of Mehdi's art sales and sketch cover commission requests and such. I have a feeling this "opportunity" will cease to exist shortly.
  14. Hey gang, we hit our first stretch goal with Blindbox Comics so all KS supporters will now also receive cover prints of the BB-exclusive Enormous variants, signed by none other than writer-extraordinaire and all-around-great-guy Tim Daniel! And - in case you missed it, Artyom's original wraparound cover art is still available! Here's a much better pic of the art for your viewing pleasure: Thanks again for the support - we are really excited that Blindbox is now becoming a reality! Books are coming in, and our first boxes will ship first week in November. In the meantime...sit back, relax, and enjoy a Pepsi. Perfect!
  15. Unfortunately, no - his Visa application was not approved! So dumb.
  16. Thanks! It's certainly been an adventure. A lot of work, but also a lot of fun - and it's really gratifying to finally see it all coming to fruition! I feel like I just submitted my dissertation!
  17. Really...? Wow - that's disappointing! If this becomes an issue and you can't find a work-around (2nd account, etc), just contact me directly and we'll figure something out for you. ALSO: We will be looking into implementing some international shipping options early next week. We will be adding options for Canada to the website, and we will explore the possibility of adding special International rewards tiers to Kickstarter. International customers can also contact me via PM and we can work out shipping directly for anything you might like to order through Kickstarter. Thanks to everyone for being flexible with this process!
  18. Great - thanks David! Print runs for the variants are 175 each on the Artyom Trakhanov covers, and only 75 on the Tyler Jenkins cover. And...I would hope that you have the option of choosing two separate reward tiers if desired? I would think you would just need to go through the checkout process twice in this case (once for each reward).
  19. Hey everybody, I know I haven't been around much for the last few months - largely because I've been busy working on a new business venture (Blindbox Comics). We just went live today, both with our main website (blindboxcomics.com), and our Kickstarter campaign, so I hope you will take a few minutes to check it out! Our Kickstarter campaign features some new exclusive covers for ENORMOUS, and also several sketch cover commissions by a diverse group of artists, as well as an opportunity for a backer to be drawn into a future cover of ENORMOUS! We also have our upcoming variant cover releases scheduled through the first four months, and we have a lot of really exciting plans for future releases. We will be announcing the first few through the Kickstarter updates as the campaign progresses. Thanks for taking a look! Best, Court
  20. Roc is working on a new series - it just hasn't been announced yet.
