  1. For anyone that might be interested - SS books are up now!
  2. At this point, I would not grade any books that I knew not to be 9.8s. In the future...? Perhaps.
  3. Enormous SS books are in! Will be offering them here first. Should have them up in the sales forum later today.
  4. I enjoyed the first volume. Not that thought-provoking - more of a popcorn book. Just a fun ride.
  5. Definitely not an error. There is always some variation in color across a print run based on the amount of ink being used. Anyone asking more for a "rare black variant" is just trying to rip you off.
  6. Good luck with Deathzone! That book is extremely tough.
  7. Andy @ 215Ink also said 106 when I spoke with him at NYCC.
  8. OK, I'll play... Based on demand: NYCC 1A Phantom Based on value: NYCC Phantom 1A
  9. Complete set of Warrior Magazine 1-26! Fantastic comics magazine that includes the first publication of both V for Vendetta and Marvelman (Miracleman) by Alan Moore! Magazines range from VG to VF+, with most in the FN to VF range. Issue 1 is VG. Complete set for $260 - US shipping included!
  10. TV show just around the corner! Most recent sales according to GPA: $150, $220, $175 Let's go with the lowest option: $150 each - 5 available US shipping is $12 on the first slab - $2 each additional.
  11. You're thinking too small here. IMO, best book to max out the plastic on. Finance as many as you can fit in your current living space!
  12. It's obvious that i wasn't expecting it at my door on the 25th from Maryland to Florida, thats common sense.... i was however expecting to have received updated info from USPS or whomever via email that i have a package being sent to me. The Fact that they had on their ad listed that the item would be shipped out the 25th and still nothing updated a day later. to me thats BS, I just can't stand when a business plays with people's money, i'm giving them the benefit of the doubt, but at the same time when something is supposed to be shipped out on a specific date, then it should be...... Hell i just ordered some of those Rougue brand HellBoy beers and it was a preorder stated to be shipped the Feb 23... well what do you know i got the email that it was updated and shipped out that exact date... Just about every other preorder that i have done whether it was for comics, games, toys etc whenever they had a SPECIFIC DATE of being shipped they were normally 9 outta 10 times shipped that date. They tried to contact you in person, and you declined - but you continue to talk smack here on the forums - without even giving them an opportunity to resolve the situation Quit being such an incredible doosh. Also - several of us would like to know your eBay ID so we can ban you from ever bidding on our auctions. Thanks.
  13. Assuming it's this one , then, yeah...! I did some serious due diligence on these books myself, as the books looked gorgeous. I had considered the viability of removing the books, restoring the mega-keys, and potentially selling off the other books as they are. I decided there was just too much risk involved, and I decided to chase something else instead (potential resto was a "maybe" depending on page quality, and the books would inevitably be labeled "TRIMMED" even if the missing edges were all replaced). In the end, those books went much cheaper than I anticipated, and IMO if you can get a beautiful bound volume of 25-48 for the same price as a restored Tec 27, then that's a sweet, sweet buy right there. Jealous!
  14. I remember giving up on Runaways for precisely this issue. There are three volumes, I think - and no way to distinguish. Not worth the headache.
  15. So if a store gets at most 10 b/w, how is it that cesradjr has had at least 100 copies all by himself...?
  16. They won't last long. A signed/sketched NYCC is . That's for dang sure! Got a pic of the sketched book, JJeanius? Yes and no - Mehdi sent me pics of the various sketches he did (only one for each different cover submitted), but I don't know which sketch goes with which book! Should have them back by tne end of next week at the latest - can't wait to see what's in the box! (insert Se7en clip here). Are these your personal books, or the books sent for the SS sketch op? These are all my books. Sketch opp is for issue 7

  18. I have three, but they are all 2xSS (one + sketch)...and there's a good chance I'll just be selling them.
  19. +1 I would not bother slabbing 4 and 5 for resale unless/until there is a price bump on raw copies.
  20. I'm sensing some bitterness... Ha - more just general overall frustration with eBay and how they constantly handcuff sellers while increasing fees. It's rather ridiculous IMO. I honestly think bidder behavior is much worse now than it was 10 years ago - primarily because the bad bidders have learned just how much they can get away with. See a book listed as a VG that you think might be much nicer than that? Go ahead and bid VG/FN prices - then get the book, inspect, and return if it doesn't meet your lofty hopes. It's not *your* fault if the book is actually VG as described....and, hey, return shipping is now on the seller. No reason not to take a chance! I had a bidder return a NM book because it has one small spine stress that measured 1/4". He told me that, based on "what he had read online", the spine stress could be no larger than 1/8". Glad the internet has made everyone an expert grader all of a sudden. Now I am on a roll!
  21. I sold a raw EoSV 2 yesterday - buyer paid immediately, then contacted me for a refund because he would be overdrawing his bank account and "didnt' want to pay that much". BAN. eBay does *nothing* to protect sellers, and there are no repercussions for bidders with bad behavior. IMO, it's all been downhill ever since eBay removed the option of negative feedback for buyers. Buyers often ask for feedback after a transaction - my response is always, "Why? It has zero bearing on your ability to purchase on eBay". If I do leave feedback for a buyer, it's always just, "Paid. Thanks.". I'm sorry - you want a medal because you actually funded your purchase...? Congratulations!
