  1. There's been two recent sales that I would call comparable. On Sunday an Immaculate RPA /4 was sold for $2000. The other was from back in June where an Immaculate RPA 1/1 sold for $1650. Both of those cards have him in his Iowa uniform, though, so that might impact their value compared to what you have. I would think it's at least $1500 but probably more.
  2. Like Josh mentioned they have to be checked in at Sarasota first.
  3. So far I'm liking it. It seems like the scores are less arbitrary than before - many of my cards that have the same condition/year have the same score, which makes sense to me.
  4. This is a very welcome change. The extra fee never felt right to me when CSG was the only company doing it.
  5. My order was received as of this morning (probably just a few minutes after my previous post), so it only took 3 days from delivery to hitting their system. Since it's just a bulk and economy order I feel like that's pretty good. If you have an express order I'm guessing it is even faster if you mark your shipping box properly.
  6. I had cards delivered on Tuesday that aren't showing up as received yet either. My last submission was logged and received the day after it was delivered, so it's possible they are running a bit slower than usual due to the changes they've made recently.
  7. I've only sent in one vintage card to be graded. It was a 1956 Hank Aaron white back. I had it pegged as a 7 before I sent it in, and that's exactly what it came back with:
  8. I thought CGC may have shut it down to scrub some of these threads...
  9. Can't believe I read the entire thread. I expected another response from CGC, but I'm guessing they're going to be radio silent about this moving forward.

Very nice! Next is the Mantle, right? 😊
  11. That's not possible under CGC's witnessing method. Basically the item has to go from the signer directly to CGC, and if it's done at a convention only a CGC authorized witness can take that item from the signer back to be graded. The person with the forged item would be still holding their forged item, as there is no chance to swap it out. That said, I don't know that it's necessary in the sports card world considering how many cards are pre-signed and authenticated by the manufacturers. That doesn't exist in the comics world.
  12. Yep! Just make sure everything is organized per the packing slip.
  13. Not every card pulled from a pack is a 10. In fact, I'd say most are not.
  14. Plenty of trolls on here agree with you, sure. Notice how it's always someone with just one or two posts and that's it? I'm sure HGA would love to give you 9s and 10s for the cards you sent in. Their AI should be up and running by now.
  15. You'd get a 1.5 or a 2. That's how it works. BGS has a similar method.

  17. There is literally no way to tell from those photos if there is damage to the surface or to the back of the cards. Just because a card presents well in a slab/photo does not mean that the card is a gem. The sub-grades do not get averaged to make your final grade, so the reason your one Namath got a 4.5 has to do with the corners. The overall grade cannot be more than one point higher than the lowest sub-grade, so the highest possible on that card would be a 5 overall. The corners must present pretty bad for it to keep it at a 4.5 and not a 5.
