  1. I posted specific questions that I wanted answered. Nothing more nothing less. I could care less if someone insults me but be prepared to defend an idiotic comment. How hard is it to stick to the subject of the thread? If you don't have something to further the subject then why even post?
  2. Your statement makes it sound like I have "boxes of silver" that will grade 9.6-9.8. That isn't what I said and the way you phrased your statement is misleading. If I read your statement out of context I would also think the OP was nuts. Of course I don't have lots of silver in high 9s.
  3. Doesn't make you any less of a troll. Obviously I do not know it all which is why I am asking for advice from people who have been through the process. However, the issues you seem to have are not related to my origin questions. Now that I am getting into selling I want to be as knowledgeable as I can be. You seem to be confusing ignorance and intellect which says a lot about you.
  4. Of course I am probably smarter than you if your only contribution to this thread is to bash my lack of caring about every single ignorant persons comprehension. You have nothing else of value to add to this discussion so why even troll? Try harder to make a valid point or shhhh.
  5. Yes I agree and I will of course. I would be sending them in for pre-screening first of course only because if they are not at least 9.6 they are probably not worth grading.
  6. Yeah because "silver-modern" isn't self-explanatory? Mentioning the bags was to highlight not having touched most of these books myself. Did you honestly think I was talking about polybags lol? I suppose I could have broken it down further and it's my fault to have assumed a certain level of intellect and cognitive abilites in the CGC forums of all places. WTF are you trolling for? Go away
  7. Understanding the market has nothing to do with not understanding how to streamline the grading process at all. I stated I had shorts of silver-modern that would benefit from grading so please comprehend my statement before you reply. I understand results but not how to get things organized for grading. Fact is I would not grade for my PC but I am looking to unload some higher end modern variants.
  8. I know quite a bit about comic value, keys, short print in demand comics and ratio variants. So yes out of my 6k comics the 4 or 5 short boxes of silver-modern would all bring in an elevated premium in the 9.8 and often 9.6 range.
  9. Yes and my point was if they pre-screen and find an easily fixable issue it seems crazy you can't opt to have the cleaning/pressing option extended to you at that stage in the process. Using my untrained eye to find every single fixable flaw on a book seems a bit daunting. Of course if I know of an issue I will clean it myself.
  10. Well it would be cleaning and not pressing as these books, for the most part, would not need a pressing. Why would CGC not give the option of fixing the problems as they already have the books? Seems crazy to have wait a month or longer just to have them send books back for having a finger print stopping the books from getting an 9.8 that could easily be cleaned. They charge you for the service and everyone is happy. Sigh
  11. I have 100ish modern variants most of which I have not taken out of the bags they were sent in. Should I be sending those in for a pre-screen as I am worried about a finger print knocking down the grade? Also, if a pre-screen finds a defect that could be removed with a clean and/or press will I have the option to have that service performed to fix the problem or will it simply be sent back? OOOF so many damn comics where to start lol. Cheers
  12. Thanks for the replies guys. Don't need the whole book graded just wanted to know how that would affect a book that would otherwise be NM-/NM. Gives me an idea of what this does to the grading. Appreciate the info! Cheers
  13. I should say the cover is not loose at all. Still firmly attached at this point.
  14. I would consider this book a 9.0-9.2 if not for this spot here. Would love to know how much this would affect grading. Cheers
