  1. Cool...great advice all, I appreciate it! Leaving it as is!
  2. Appreciate the feedback - especially with adding in the fees it would be a wash at best even if it increases
  3. There's the notes...all I was thinking really is that if it gets lets say a 6.0 green label - it's a higher grade than what it currently sits at and people that know the book wouldn't care that it's green because of the sigs. Based on those grader notes though who knows what the grade would become.
  4. Hey all, looking for advice and/or opinions. I have a copy of the Turtlemania Special #1 Silver Edition from 1986. This was the one that was numbered to 100 and signed on the back by Laird and Eastman. Currently it sits as a Blue label 4.5......I'm considering sending it back in and asking for it to be regraded with a Green label (unwitnessed signatures would be the reason why it would get the green of course). Everyone that knows this book knows that it is legit and to me I would be totally OK with the green label because it's not a missing page, missing MVS etc. It would be green simply because of the sigs and the number on the back. I know based on grading history the grade would go up with the green, but I'm on the fence as to what to do. It's a book that really never comes up for sale or is seen so it's not like I have a wide variety of choices to base any comparisons to. And yes I am asking because if (when) I go to sell it will people frown on the green (again tho - it's not a missing page or anything). I guess I'm just asking what are people's thoughts about a green label if it's for something like this....a book signed well before CGC was a company thus impossible for them to witness the signing.
  5. Finally got my grades!! Books were just shipped so I don't have pics yet but got my grades. All were pressed and all grades stayed exactly what they were when I sent them in...kind of a bummer there but at least they didn't drop ASM300 9.4 White pages..... Spawn 300 NYCC Gold foil edition 9.6 White pages...... Venom Lethal Protector 1 Black cover printing error 9.6 White pages Was hoping for at least a bump somewhere (especially that Venom) but still happy. Can't wait to see the actual books to see the sigs
  6. Mine came back from CCS on Weds the 5th (per my phone call to CGC)...marked as Received yesterday 2-6 and today are in Grading/Quality Control. Seems like it's gonna move fast now....I'm thinking a day or 2 til the grades are in the system.
  7. Finally my date has changed to "Received 2-6".....just as they told me yesterday that the books were finally back from CCS. I'm OK with the time frame, it's just me being impatient (and it's got worse as I see so many others with their books back a week or 2 ago). But finally the end is in sight!
  8. My complaint isn't the 6 week timeline, I knew what I was getting into. It was the non-communication when they "lost" my books at CCS. Anyway I called again today and they were found, pressed, and back at CGC ....even though no change online, still showing as Received as they have been since 12-12
  9. I'm in the same boat - sent 3 to be pressed - marked as Received and hasn't moved since then. My 1 book that was not getting pressed is already back. I call them and get the "well it's at CCS so be patient"....waiting sucks.
  10. My first book finally back home. This was not pressed (was a 9.8 and stayed a 9.8). My books being pressed are still in "received 12-12 hell"
  11. Hey - any update on yours? Mine are still "Received" with the original date on them. So annoying.
