  1. These just so seldom come up IMHO and is one of the most desired Frazetta covers. I think Lion's Den said he thought it was around a 1200 book in that grade...the buyer got a good deal it looks like!
  2. Yes, this was a private sale which sold for $1100 Free Shipping. I received confirmation directly from the Seller.
  3. Right?!?! Honestly, following this seller on Ebay is becoming a past-time. What a listing...you just don't see that...I hope he keeps em coming.
  4. I usually prefer to show the listings I've actually bought, but again, this is pretty mind blowing...I just don't know where Dave In Detroit gets his stuff, but 4 Eerie Tales in amazing condition! Sounds like he's got a sense of humor too if you read the description. I just don't have deep enough pockets for books of this caliber, but he's also very clear that the listed price is not what he's expecting. If he's able to pull four Eerie Tales out of his hat, what else is in the hat?!?!?! https://www.ebay.com/itm/195165959309?hash=item2d70cc348d:g:CHAAAOSwkqJitmyC
  5. Now that is rad! Never seen that cover before. Jayman: King of the Cool Covers
  6. Recently acquired this Skywald. Definitely a top 5 cover for me for all horror mags—tells a story for sure and the more you study the artwork, the more the cover gets under your skin
  7. Reading the Seller's Description: first thing it says... "{ The Price Posted Is "Not" The Price } - Pictures are not the best, they have glare reflection on the plastic case." Unlike some sellers, I guess when he added Best Offer, he meant it... But that said, If anyone has a 9.2 copy to sell at 381 or somewhere in that ballpark, please give me the first shot! I was just shocked to see a slabbed high grade copy come up, as they seldom seem to ever come to market
  8. If I know the seller, like I think I do, he's probably not expecting that. But then again, Ebay is the Wild West and for some of these crazy hard to find books, slabbed in high grade .... Well, Let's just say I've seen some things in my day while on ThEBAY But if anyone's seriously interested, they should totally reach out to him. Never hurts to ask for what you want And that is a nice book to say the least.
  9. I guess this post might better fit in a thread of "this could be in your this week in your magazine collection", but there's a REALLY nice high grade copy of Creepy 32 CGC. I've done business with the seller--his feedback speaks for itself, but I can vouch that he's honest, and I know he'd prefer an offline sale to save everyone money as Ebay has gone off the deep end. But If interested you ought to reach out to him or send an offer https://www.ebay.com/itm/195154418417?hash=item2d701c1af1:g:f0oAAOSwQFBisR8m&autorefresh=true
  10. Holy cannoli! Nintendo power 1 cgc 9.0 just went on thE Bay for 11,300 clams.
  11. Randall, as always, GREATLY appreciate the insight you're willing to impart. Thanks so much!
  12. Wasn't sure where to post this, but is the Overstreet Guide the go-to on pricing mags (e.g., Eerie Pubs)? Is there any Online resource for pricing-particularly in higher grades? In this climate, pricing is such a moving target (hence the title of this thread :)). Thanks in advance for any recommendations!
  13. Creepy #81 is an absolute favorite. Captures the human condition with brilliance
  14. On second thought…I think you should stick with Warren. No need to pursue Skywald mags…nothing to see there
  15. …that fateful day someone slipped me an electronic version of a skywald mag…down the rabbit hole…😎.
  16. I think you ought to consider pursuing Skywald mags. Those may take more than a month but then again I wouldn’t bet against you with your streak👍
  17. I saw an auction for 29 that was winding down today and was quietly rooting for you.👍. Glad you nabbed one- congrats!
  18. So that was on Clink, but a couple months ago I believe...not sure what it sold for then, but I'll confidently say it's listed as being more now. By my recollection it went for less than what I anticipated. It's the most iconic vampi cover IMHO.
  19. It’s gotta mean that you’re destined to own the lone 9.6…and at a great price👍🏻
  20. So you’re saying I missed out on a deal…need to dust off my delorean - crud
  21. 451 - scream 1 such an awesome cover—hardly ever comes up and in the last month there have been several high grades at auction. in general I’ve been told high grade skywalds are not only few and far between but the ones out there are buried deep in peoples collections so with several of these comin up recently wondering if these were from estate sales - yikes. But that one above seemed to be a really sharp copy- white pages even. itd be nice if a raw in the wild presented itself as I’m finding slabbed higher grades keep climbing. Not sure what the long time members think of this and other recent prices. If the above was a surprise - high or low or just as expected? But that cover is awesome

  23. Building the plane while in flight is what I think I'm hearing you say. I can dig it...but I'll be watching from the ground
