  1. Yes, but you can always claim innocence if you just say, "Honey, I was going for the landing strip but somehow I made a miss to the back."
  2. He was at C2E2 2019. As a super last minute thought, easily 200 people (myself included) were hoping for a Sunday afternoon signing before C2E2 shut down. As we waited in line for him to get back from break, the C2E2 staff kept saying, "We can't guarantee he'll get to everyone; there's a long line and we have to close at 5:00 PM." He plowed through the last 100 people in like 15 minutes and made sure EVERY single fan got a signature. I was lucky enough to get these three sweet babies from that day.
  3. It still is a happy place! Got my stack of comics for the hunker down phase!
  4. Scared your nice Signature Series books will get damaged by a light? Thinking of moving that pesky light? Moving those shelves? Well, how about no fuss, no muss! We've found a use for Qualified Grade books! A casual observer will never know! Only your local comic book store dealer knows for sure! Shhhhh…… Yes, ladies, these are all equally worth a lot! The green label means it's worth....extra cash!!
  5. Holy cow, I had no idea how lucky I had gotten until I read this thread. Just got 9 Hama signed G.I. Joe's back...no rings. I thought perhaps the process had improved but now see it has not and I just got lucky. Phew! Condolences to all who have gotten Ringed.
  6. Holy cow. I just saw the Catwoman with crazy rings. Guess I got super lucky.
  7. A recent batch I got back of signed GI Joe's barely had any of the dreaded Newton Rings. Is the process getting better or did I just get lucky? I know the pics aren't super clear, but imagine barely any Newtown Rings. Bingo, you did it!
  8. Bunch of Larry Hama signed Joes. Signed original art by Larry Hama.
  9. Just got these back today! Larry Hama signed G.I. Joes! Thanks to Sharp Comics!
  10. Someone who wants to avoid being in situations like this thread?
  11. I mean..... for real.... I'm thinking if CGC added that as an optional feature, many collectors would be willing to shell out some extra dough for the piece of mind.
  12. G.I. Joe #52. Storm Shadow broke INTO the G.I. Joe training center and beat the snot out of three Joes in seconds, including "martial arts expert" Quick Kick. Only complaint - Legendary Mike Zeck did the cover, but not the art
  13. At first, I thought this book was going to be another Conan fights and kills a giant evil creature. But it turned out the "evil creature" was not evil or violent. He was the misunderstood and abused "beast boy" in a traveling freak show, who was actually sweet and gentle, and had a crush on Conan's ex-flame Alhambra. Halfway through I started to like the "beast boy" and thought, "ohhh no, brace for the inevitable cover, where Conan beats the S### out oof someone. But then.... a miracle!! No fight, no confrontation. Eventually the hairy lovestruck lad wound up getting the love of his life... while for once Conan got friend zoned!
  14. Didn't know Thanos was on Magnum P.I.
  15. Golden Apple on Melrose and LaBrea (I think technically West Hollywood, but really southern Hollywood) isn't bad. Small shop but they have some decent wall comics and back isssues. Guy that works there Joe will talk your ear off about G.I. Joe since he runs a podcast called "Joe on Joe." So if you aren't into A Real American Hero don't mention it. I am so there you go. Also it's kitty corner across from famous Pink's Hot Dogs. Power up with a $4.50 chili dog and cruise Golden Apple. Sadly, Meltdown Comics on Hollywood closed down. But they were about half toys and half comics. Cool store though. Back room performance space was where they filmed Comedy Central's "Meltdown with Jonah and Kumail."
