  1. The wife was very talented at sniping in at the last second. Maybe that's why she buys all of his books.
  2. LOL, My first ebay comic sale and after 3 days I get this.. "Hello! I just realized this was in my purchase history. My wife placed the bid not realizing i already have this book.I apologize for not knowing this earlier.I would like to ask if i may cancel purchasing this book, since i already have that particular issue.I am so sorry for the mix up and i hope this won't cause any inconvenience in cancelling my purchase.Thank you so much for your understanding.Have a GREAT day" Im pretty new here so I dont know if you this qualifies as a block candidate but this is them. klynsdad
  3. I did send CGC a video of my shifting inner wells and they said send them back. I thought I could live with the movement, but it just bothered me more than Newton Rings. I hate sending them back and forth. Your just asking for them to get messed up in shipment.
  4. Has anybody seen this shifting of the inner well recently? I just got 10 books back from CGC and every one has some movement. No Newton Rings for once, but the inner well is certainly loose. My only other submission this year was in Jan and no movement of the inner well, but Newton Rings on all.
  5. Looks like they have about a dozen eBay sales. So maybe not malicious, but also not their first rodeo.
  6. Seller just canceled the order. I guess I don't get a say in it? I hope I can leave negative feedback. The sale disappeared off my history and I am now waiting for a refund. Pretty much all eBay is allowing me to do right now. Frustrating.
  7. If the seller had stated some kind of variable shipping, then no problem. I can work with that (although I think $13 is a bit extreme for 1 book, but whatever). But this person waited a week after auction closed and I paid before communicating some vague statement on shipping to CA, not asking at that time for more money, then 3 days after that finally asking for more money. Personally I think the book sold for less than he wanted for it and is trying make up for it at my expense. This is what is upsetting me and making me want to hammer him in his feedback.
  8. $5 original. Asking for $8 more on top. This is not a slab. Just 1 raw comic. Am I being unreasonable? Is this normal behavior?
  9. Yes, I already paid and he's looking for more on top of that, more than double. He says its location based, I am in CA, him on the east coast. Massachusetts, i believe.
  10. I can't believe this is going to be my first post here but I need some veteran advise. I recently won an auction for 1 book and now the ebay seller is trying to get me to pay for more shipping than what he had listed. I am not going to do that and responded with various terms of service quotes about his responsibility to meet the auction terms. I anticipate he will offer to cancel the deal after, as my wife puts is, my "rather harsh" email. So my understanding is that If I accept the canceling, refunds happen and we both go on our merry way no harm no foul. But no feedback will be left. Should I refuse the canceling and open a dispute so I can leave negative feedback to warn other potential buyers? (It looks like this guy mostly deals in sports equipment.) Not sure what the best way to move forward is and would love some veteran ebay seller advise.
  11. Greetings to all on the boards. My name it Matt and I have been lurking here for a little bit getting a gauge on the place and finally decided it was time to say hello. I'm a big fan of 90's VALIANT as they were on the rise when I first found comics at that time and also the Image creators. I love the wealth of knowledge this place has. Thank you for having me.
