  1. I know you are just relaying a message but it is a joke. It was not a part of the manufacturing process. These books were leftovers from a previous exclusive on 11/21. The acetate covers were not attached at this time. So, what is stopping a retailer to put a different cover on just about any book that apparently wasn't selling? If a normal person put an acetate cover on their book it would get a green label. So, why would it be different if Black Flag does it? They are not involved with the manufacturing of any book as they are just a retailer. The fact that they put these covers on themselves (the owner of Black Flag admitted to this in a video) without Marvel being involved it should not warrant a blue label. You (CGC) are basically opening the door to future f$%kery. The book was not created this way and it was not planned at all when the books were first published. The Stray Dogs 1 was manufactured this way. It was not altered by a retailer and they were delivered to the comic retailers this way. CGC is once again proving the customers do not matter and the influencers and retailers have more precedence.
  2. Why? So they can say “prominent members of the comic community said it was okay to alter a book after production.”?
  3. Do they really care about the BBB? Doesn't look like it to me.
  4. A lot of us have books from July sitting there in Economy. So, if you get screwed like us you have several months to go. Cheers if you get lucky. Why is the declared value $1 per book?
  5. I am at about 183 working days and still in SFG for slow economy.
  6. I think transparency is needed when it comes to these long turnaround times. They have books that mean great deals to us. We should be able to know how many orders are in front of us at any given time. They have at least a few thousand dollars worth of my books and it is aggravating that I have no clue if they will be done tomorrow or several months from now. It has been 8 months since the received date plus the month it took for them to open the box.
  7. My slow economy just hit 8 months so I am assuming it will disappear tomorrow. Way to knock those economy books out CGC! What other business is 8-12 month turnarounds acceptable? “Thank you for visiting McDonalds. Your food will be ready in 8 months.”
  8. That or you are just used to doing stuff half- so it matches your work ethic.
  9. Exactly. They are basically saying we never promised them so good luck getting anything useful. Especially now that they are giving them away for free there is less incentive for them to be useful. Bunch of garbage.
  10. The other side to that is I have them seen them use generic notes that are so vague they really do not help. I sent in several books that all got different grades but the notes were all the same "Light stress marks to spine". Cmon bro. Worst copy and paste job I have ever seen. Just mailing it in because they are lazy.
  11. I think if you just do fast track you won't have these issues. Yes, it is a bit more but at least you will have your sanity. After these last few submissions I will not do slow submissions any more. I will have to get used to a little less profit but at least my books will come back relatively fast. I would easily pay the fast track on the books I still have there if I could in hindsight.
  12. If they have this much frustration on their own chat board do you really think they care about the BBB? I highly doubt it. I wish the answer was simple enough to go to their competition but CBCS has major issues as well. I am under the impression if you do not fast track your books you might as well forget about your books and be surprised when they eventually arrive.
  13. C'mon, CGC is now co-owned by Jay-Z. He has 99 Problems but turnaround times ain't one.
