  1. Wow…great to see that CGC is actually paying attention. I have a different issue with the same book. I might make a post about it and see if it’s worth resending.
  2. So I picked up a copy of Swamp Thing #45 and discovered a signature inside the pages. I can't tell who's it is but I assume it's Alan Moore but I am not sure. I did a google search and it does not look like his current signature. Is it maybe an old way he used to sign or is it someone else?
  3. So I am mailing in my book. I am filling out online and shipping my book. I will not be in-person at the In-House Signing. I will not be in communication with a witness or any witness when the book is signed.
  4. That's good to know. Do you know how you request that when you send your book in to get signed? I guess there is a notes or instructions section? I've never requested something like this through the In-House signing.
  5. I am thinking about sending a book to the In-House signing but the book I want signed is dark and a black signature would not work. I'd like to get a silver signature but can you request that? Thanks ahead of time.

I am in the process of submitting some books. I got all the way to the Review & Submit portion of my order but I realized I was never asked about using my credits. When can I use them?
  8. I got an email warning me about turn around times. I'm about to submit a few books and if books are being delayed is it work paying for Fast Track? Will it actually help at all?
  9. Guy named Felix buying up all the artwork for the King in Black? Almost sounds like the synopsis to a Bond movie!
  10. Thanks. Yeah that makes sense. Do you guys know how much a resubmission costs?
  11. Really? Ugh...well that's rich of CGC holding a sig party and not having any quality control! LOL! I really don't remember any bending. It has to bee so slight that you really have to be looking to find it. Do you really think that is the culprit? If so then it's really pushing me to sending back to get a press. I love that book a lot but that 7.0 is really bugging me!
  12. I've had it for so long I've never noticed any bends. No I did not have it pressed but I could tell that it had been pressed before. With white cover I notice they become a bit transparent and I could see that with this book. I guess CGC saw something that never picked up on. I am thinking about sending it back to have pressed and graded again but not sure if it would be worth it. I do remember the page looking very creamy inside. I wonder how much more come into play than the slight bending cover. Posting on a forum about Grading Comics on a Grading Comics website in a thread about Grading and Restoration...I can see how the title could be confusing.
  13. Is there someone at CGC I can complain about the smudge? Unless it was Walt that did it.
  14. Yeah...I'm beginning to think that's a major point. The photos don't do justice...this book looks so sharp. You really have to squint to see the spine ticks and they are faint. Thanks my friends....I believe I have reached acceptance. =P
  15. Dude...my wound...your salt..=P Joking...so about any other issues. wouldn't that have been in the grading notes? The notes and the grade don't add up for me. Here is the back cover.
  16. I posted the Grader Notes and no there were no tears. What are BC pics? I posted the photos I took before I shipped it to be slabbed. Is that what you mean?
  17. I need some advice. I bought a Thor 337 several years ago thinking it was a 9.0 so when I heard CGC had Walt Simonson as a guest to sign books I jumped on it. This book looks to be in such awesome condition. But before sending it off I took a closer look I realized that maybe I'd get an 8.5 because of the very faint ticks on the spine you can see them in his cape. Take a look and tell me what you think. The book looks amazing no? Now I lowered my expectations a bit and figured I'd probably get between a 8.0 and 8.5 and I could live with that but then I got my book and well...I think I'm in denial. I'm including the Grader's Notes below. I'm not even sure what Light bends to the cover mean....the book was so flat! Like I said...I'm a bit shocked that it got such a low grade. Am I crazy? Can I do anything to boost the grade? Should I use it as kindle for my fire this winter? Thanks for listening. Yours truly. Grader Notes:light bends to cover light spine stress lines to cover Oh and Walt or someone smudged his signature!...I'm so sad. =(
  18. I meant for the return shipping. USPS is twice as much but I wonder if its because it's fully insured.
  19. Thanks! I'll do what you did an print out my info along with some instructions for Walt to ignore. Thanks again!!! oh forgot to ask...you guys have a shipping recommendation? USPS, UPS or FedEx?
  20. Oh I was just about to ask about this! How do I indicate where I'd like for Walt to sign. This is perfect! Does this work? Did you cut out the spot you want Walt to sign from the polybag? Have you had success with this before? I have another question, do you or anyone know if you can request the color used to sign with? I'd like to use a gold metallic sharpie. Should I ship the sharpie with my book? My apologies if I high jack your post.
  21. Well done! I've been thinking about visiting other shops in near by cities but Texas is a hot mess with Corona at the moment.
