  1. I am going to send a book in to be cracked open pressed and regraded.the graders notes say left top back cover light crease,Right bottom front cover creaseLeft top back cover small lite stain. can I convey this information to the presser to work on those specific areas. thanks
  2. Nothing ventured nothing gained some people are afraid to go out in the rain for fear of getting wet.keep up the positive karma , though. P.S thought it was a valid post based on the graders notes
  3. Book is now mine,I have the graders notes. do you think a clean and press and regrade will get a grade bump?. thanks
  4. Hope this is the right forum,Looking at this book in the next couple days I don’t have good pictures yet but I habe the graders notes. do you think clean and press and regrade is warranted based on notes? Will add better pics if I get the book.Thanks.
  5. Great statistics!like real estate, have the more moderately priced home in the right neighborhood or in this case right book where there are more buyers and you see higher growth. Thanks
  6. Thanks for the input.9.0 and 9.2 are about the same price. The 9.0 is actually $150 higher and the 8.0 is about $1200 less.Never going to sell the 5.0 read it dozens of times as a boy it just ended up as the only book that got some damage as my other books I collected graded between 7.5-9.0.
  7. Both present well.GSxmen #1 so it's a "Big" book.choice #3 is a 8.0 WP that's considerable less.i guess it's part the thrill of the higher grade in addition to which will go up in value better as a %. Short story Just so it's not about the money I have a 5.0 in my collection that I bought when it first came out(1975)! its my lowest graded book.in hindsight would have been better off keeping it raw and buy the 8.0
  8. I think the title says it all, buying a big bronze grail book and trying to decide which is a better value 9.0 white pages or 9.2 off-white/white pages. I know there sre variables and each book stands at a own.this is a $ and cents question Are they close or is there a clear-cut difference ?what does everyone think?
  9. Thanks again. I am preparing to move forwards and have additional questions(sorry).I have this book in a cgc graded copy,do I send it in for a reholder or do I need to have it cracked open and regraded?if the reason behind it needing to be cracked open is only to verify my name in the letter page can I make a copy of the letter page from a raw copy I have and attach to paperwork and reholder instead? lastly should I attach some form of identification such as a copy of an old drivers license with my name and matching address?
  10. I have seen on some labels a notation when someone had their letter published in a book(letter from ___ ___).Usually someone who latter on became involved in comic biz or a celebrity.I had a letter published in a marvel team up book in 1976 and was wondering if I sent it in to be graded can I request a notation on the label about my letter(letter from __ __)? Thanks
  11. Would definitely have this pressed let me know if it’s worth sending in.thanks
  12. Please grade my 100 will definitely have it cleaned and pressed when I send it in thanks
  13. Frank Miller Vs.Todd Mcfarlane signature? I'm thinking of getting my DKR #1 9.4 signed but I don't see anywhere near the buzz about Miler in house signing and at $130 per sig I'm wondering if it's worth it?I sent in two books for TM to sign (ASM 300 and 316)and while I'm not sure if I increased the value of the books that much I'm happy to have them in my collection. I'm not that deep into the nuances of sig series just wondering why he's so much more and not getting anywhere near the fanfare? And i know "if you're a true collector"yadda-yadda,but at $130 per sig I don't want to go backwards in value either?
  14. Not a scratch or crease, thinking of sending it in for a Frank Miller Sign but in at 9.4 don’t know if it’s worth it.it would be for my collection however $130 seems like a lot when the time comes to sell any opinions?
