  1. So CGC has no time for the graders to open moderns or for quality control but their going to start participating in destroying books to artificially inflate the value?!
  2. I’m of the mind that you aren’t getting a plus to your feedback score unless you do the same for mine. Also if they end up being a problem buyer I’ll leave a “false positive” and explain the situation. At the least they’re going to have to contact eBay to get it removed. Or it stays and people will have a warning.
  3. Has anyone seen any newsstands of Gotham Academy #1? I’ve yet to see one.
  4. I have a bit of sympathy for anyone buying a graded book and it’s seriously overgraded. I’ve actually returned one or two myself. I still have a copy of FF#1 CGC 9.2 Newsstand on eBay that no one’s going to buy. It has at least a dozen color breaking spine tics. You can’t miss them on the dark cover. I’ve actually read that CGC doesn’t even open moderns when grading.
  5. I stopped getting email notifications when I turned it off because it’s pointless. I noticed they sent out the emails once a day and it was usually long after those items had been listed. Easier to just periodically check my saved searches.
  6. Let me know when they come up with an actual new character and not the millionth spider-something or some new character based on old existing characters.
  7. I don’t leave feedback until the buyers left me feedback.
  8. The initial claim almost always goes the buyers way. However if you disagree and appeal they can and will decide in the sellers favor. If you’re in the right that is. I recently had an issue with a buyer claiming the item wasn’t as described. He stated I didn’t disclose color breaking spine tics and you couldn’t see them in the pics. Not only could you see them clearly in the pics but I also listed it in the description. Ebay initially decided in the buyers favor. I appealed it and won. eBay refunded the buyer from eBay funds not mine and let them keep the book. Which is ridiculous. If I “won” the buyer shouldn’t be able to keep the book.
  9. I’m just assuming that stating you want something to die means you don’t like it. Wtf else would you want it to die?!
  10. If it bugs you so much you have the choice to not read it. Problem solved.
  11. Seems excessive as I’ve actually messaged sellers asking the same thing and most will go lower and don’t get upset by someone trying to get a better deal. They’re happy to sell the book a bit cheaper than listed. I wouldn’t block them personally. That person could turn around and become your best customer because you were flexible and gave them a small discount. They can’t do that if you block them.
  12. A member of another forum I’m a member of recently bought the original artwork of that cover. They should really do a sketch cover if they haven’t.
  13. I rarely submit books for grading. In all my years I’ve sent one book to be graded by the competition. So probably not, unless I win the lottery.
  14. No it’s the direct opposite. I said to buy the originals over the collected edition.
  15. Yeah I don’t get why you wouldn’t just by the entire series in single issues and have $700 left over?!
