  1. I use that in all my eBay items. I won’t give a grade but I do list any and all defects in the description & I want potential buyers to read the description.
  2. I recall someone asking me to show them a modern newsstand, since they had shared themselves. Well here’s my modern newsstand.
  3. It wasn’t easy finding this book in newsstand. It’s a flip book with the first appearance of the characters from Planetary. It’s a story that’s not in Planetary #1 and predates it. It’s also in C23 #6.
  4. I’m directly responding to your posts. Did I say you wouldn’t have been honest and stated it wasn’t actually graded in the listing? I did not. I was stating why I would’ve added it to the listing to avoid any potential issues.
  5. Pulling a listing because you forgot to add newsstand to the title or description seems unnecessary. Did you think you’d get more for it with newsstand in the title? That’s on the same level as sellers having a book listed, the book seeing an increase, a buyer purchases at the lower price and the seller cancels to relist it at a higher price. I also haven’t had a non paying buyer in forever. So I’m unsure where you’re pulling those numbers from.
  6. Yeah it’s on the buyer. That same buyer could leave negative feedback, request a return that the seller could get stuck with paying the additional return shipping. As well as likely damage during being repackaged and shipped back. All things I like to avoid.
  7. Yes the variant cover of that book appeared as a graded book. The post you quoted was a pic of a graded copy of the variant. There’s no variant of that cover that appears ungraded. You’re asking questions. As well as others so that answers you’re third question. We’re avid comic collectors and most didn’t know about that cover. I only know myself because I wanted to buy a copy and have it graded because it looks really cool. if it were my listing I would've plainly stated the book wasn’t graded to avoid any issues with a buyer.
  8. Valiant and CGC put out variant covers that looked like graded books. So it’s a raw book that looks graded.
  9. I love Michael Turner but don’t understand why anyone would pay those prices on a book that literally came out a decade after the original. To each their own.
  10. I mean is there some universal rule when determining the differences between what constitutes a brief first appearance versus a first full? i agree on Cameos not being applicable when it comes to a characters first appearance. They were unknown until that appearance so it doesn’t really fit to me. Although Overstreet describes a cameo as a character appearing briefly in another’s title.
  11. I’ve proven my level because I don’t know all of dc’s c-list characters? Or that I have a different opinion? I think you’d be in the minority in considering that hypothetical page being a brief first appearance and not a first full of Animal Man. If it were in fact his first appearance it’d be a first full. Or even if you hypothetically reversed it to Superman’s first appearance he appears in enough panels for me to consider it a first full.
  12. I got whoever the character was wrong. I don’t know a ton about dc characters. My bad. However n the page you posted, if it was the characters first appearance, you’d consider that a brief first appearance and not a first full? To me it’s a first full. A character doesn’t have to appear in every panel in a book for it to be a first full. I mean he appears in 9 or 10 panels and speaks. He’s not in the shadows or obscured in anyway.
  13. You’re talking/comparing established characters making a cameo in another’s title to a first appearance. What you posted is a cameo. So I’m guessing if that page you posted was Booster Golds first ever appearance you’d consider it a brief appearance and not a first full?! if so I don’t need to say anything else.
  14. All I’m doing is stating facts. I don’t need to explain every panel he appears in because you have a difference of opinion. He’s shown in full in several panels and speaks.
  15. Five panels including a full page where he speaks isn’t a brief appearance.
  16. If you haven’t checked the Image Newsstand thread it may be in there.
  17. Or someone may have copies of those books and your search is complete. I think we’d all like to see you finish the run. It’s pretty damn impressive.
  18. Batman #656 is a first full appearance regardless of what anyone states here. Damian appears in 5 panels which to me is a first full.
