I just received the books back, and this is the explanation. Does anyone have any experience with this? I'm planning on just.....getting the book off the board!! Is there a delicate way to do this? Thanks!

My only question: Do you all check the grades on the website immediately, or wait until the shipment arrives? I like to be surprised, so I am going to wait.

I sent in eight books to be pressed/cleaned and graded. I received this message from CCS. I am a little concerned because this is a modern book (Dragonball #1 Viz Comics). The book looked nice and did not have any apparent damage. Is this a sign that the book may have a low grade? Thanks

Hi team, I am trying to get an idea of what comic book enthusiasts would pay for the following runs. Would you say I am in the ballpark pricing-wise? I use "ebay sold" listings as a reference point usually, but I have some collections and runs that do not match their sold listings. The books are all high grade (8.0 or above). X-Men (1991) 1-88 Straight Run ($160.00) Cable (1993) 1-70 Straight Run ($90.00) X-Factor (1986) 125 total books (missing some big keys, the run is full from about issue 20 onwards) ($250.00) Spider-Man Unlimited (1993) 1-20 Straight ($30.00) Would you say these are fair prices? I was thinking about the scenario "If you could only keep one comic, which would it be?" and it eventually morphed into "Which comic do you think will be most valuable in say, 20-30 years?" I'm thinking mostly books from Copper Age on, as many books before that have jumped in value already. So, if you had to predict a book that you'd want in 30 years, which would it be?

Hi! I've posted on this forum before about a large collection of comics that I inherited. I have bagged and boarded, boxed, and categorized all of the comics. Now, I want to start selling. I want to start with the mid-tier comics (not valuable enough to grade but will probably get more than a buck or two. Some may even get between 10-100.) However, I want to get some expert opinions on the best way to go about selling. I've decided I want to start by making posts on Reddit "Comic Swap" and this CGC site. For those of you who have sold a lot of comics, what do you think is the best way to go about it? What mistakes did you make along the way? Some things I've been thinking about: Is there equipment that makes this process more efficient and can offset costs in the long run? Best payment option? It looks like Reddit "comic swap" prefers Paypal: Goods and Services. What's your experience with this method? Safe? Best way to package? Best way to ship? Least expensive option? When you sell, do you include these overhead costs in the price? What's a realistic turnaround time that buyers expect? I work full-time, so this will be a side gig for me. Do buyers expect sellers to get the comics out ASAP? I imagine this might be more of a case-by-case basis situation. Return policy? I do not grade comics - many of these comics have been bagged and boarded for 20+ years. Can I "ballpark" it? I plan to include pictures of each comic, which will probably take care of most of these issues. Thanks in advance.
