  1. FYI - IST has the Piskor X-Men Grand Design Omnibus listed for $25 (Regularly $100).
  2. He was buying some books and sticking some books in his backpack. When we searched his backpack we found the books and worked out who the dealers were, then asked them if he had paid - some he had paid for and many he had not.
  3. I am the promoter (with Marc from House of Comics) and I work the door myself, so there’s no chance he’ll ever get in. Honestly I don’t think he’d try it anyway. He was shaking and crying and begging us not to kick his or call the cops. That envelope in his hands was an inch thick stack of cash. He was begging us to let him pay triple for the books he stole.
  4. He is of course banned from all future Berkeley Shows. Alan posted his pic on Instagram and shared with other dealers. Every dealer in the room saw him. I told the local shops. He will have a tough time doing this again in California (he’s from Nevada).
  5. Some pics from the last show. Wall to wall comic books! Hope you guys can make it!
  6. Slice a line in the cardboard, but not all the way through, about a half inch past the normal fold line. Then use the cut as the new fold line, giving an extra half inch of length to the box. I find it’s just a tad tight without the extra room.
  7. I ship slabs in medium flat rate priority mail boxes. I score the end to give it an extra half inch of room and they fit perfect (wrapped many, many, many times in bubble wrap).
  8. My hands are often dirty (even when just washed) and this (getting an angle by hand) is the only way I can get a decent pic. Thanks! Yeah, just got these back. Been in the collection for a decade or so?
  9. The follow up email is probably automated. You print the label yourself. Fill out a new sub form, click ME, choose shipping method, print pre-paid label, ship.
  10. Take the and NTT 28 and 30 from above please.
  11. Take Marvel Movie Premiere 1 and POTA 4 please.
  12. Yeah, the problem is he said he didn’t sign for it, and the signature shown is just a scribble, so I’m not sure it will be cut and dry.
  13. If I confirm he received it that may be the way. Thanks.
  14. I really can’t tell if the guy is telling the truth. If I determine he is lying I’ll post the info. Thanks.
  15. I’m hoping someone can help me with this problem: I sold two items on eBay to two different buyers, one a raw book for $20, one a CGC 9.6 Iron Fist 14 for $1700+ My printer was glitching so I had to create a PDF of the labels to print them. Somehow I printed two of the same label and placed them on both packages. I made sure to check the IF 14 to confirm the info was correct, but didn’t pay attention to the other address, which I now know was a duplicate. I got a message from the IF buyer, with a photo of the raw book saying, “this isn’t what I ordered”. At the time I thought I just switched the labels, so I refunded the IF buyer, because I didn’t want him panicking while I waited for the book to come back from the wrong customer. I reached out to the raw buyer to see if he got the IF - he did not. That was when I realized my mistake. I sent both packages to the IF buyer. I kept the post office receipt, which showed both of the (same) tracking numbers. I asked my regular driver about it, and he told me it might come back, as one of the packages was not paid for. So I waited a few days - no return. I then went to the post office and spoke with a manager, who looked into it and found that two packages were scanned during the delivery of the raw book. I alerted the IF buyer that the PO showed two packages were delivered to him, the raw book and the graded IF 14. He said he was home but didn’t sign, and only the raw package was on the porch. So now the $1700 book is missing and I’ve refunded the buyer. He swears he didn’t get two packages, and got mad that I would insinuate he did. But I’m out $1700 even though I have signature confirmation that the book was received. I sent eBay a message but haven’t heard back. I’m continuing to talk to the post office, but that’s not looking good either. Hoping maybe someone has an idea to help me get the book back? Thanks in advance, and sorry for the wall of text.
  16. No, but at this point they deserve it.
  17. Negative. But the flash flood of negative feedback must be overwhelming and isn’t letting up.
