  1. That's a good idea. i'm going to give it a go. Thanks
  2. Thanks for the help. im going to give the 800's a try and if i don't like what i see i'll grab gold FB's as well. Trimming is taking it to another level for me, odd they don't sell boards to the trimmed specifications.
  3. I have extra 750FBs, trying to see if i can avoid buying more then i need. To me the 750FB seems to be appropriately sized, its just the thickness of the comic that's making it a very tight fit once in the 775M2. Just seeing if i can get away with only buying a small pack of 800M2? or 825M2?
  4. I'm trying to protect a few comics for storage and i'm not sure how to best handle these 80pg Giants. I have 750FBs and 775M2s, but when i put one of these giants in there its way to snug for me. I only have a couple, wondering if i can get away with using my current 750FBs and picking up some 800M2s? anyone have any tips for the Giants. Thanks,
  5. Thanks Deadpoolica, This forum has been a great resource, i think i'm best concentrating efforts on specific gems that are in decent condition rather then worrying about the entire collection. Mylar bags for all. Pressing, cleaning & grading for the outliers:
  6. Thanks for the link, that's probably the best pricing I've seen for Mylar2. My plan was to take the advice from this post: But since i have no gold, only silver, i was going to use 750FB / 775M2
  7. Thanks for the tip, i think i'll do exactly that Is there an advantage to getting the book cleaned now? or should i wait until right before i get the book graded?
  8. That crease is a product of my sub-par scanner, looking at the book under light i don't see any creases inside or out on the cover. Good eye Will, already looking at the comics different when i pull them out.
  9. Good eye, i didn't even notice that. Looks to be a fold of some kind, if you open the book you can see the crease on the inside of the cover as well. I wonder if that's something that could be pressed away?
  10. Thanks, i was disappointed with the condition of this one, it is one of my more valuable ones.
  11. Hi folks, just looking for a rough idea where this falls?
  12. *sigh* i think i got it this time
  13. Thanks Capra, made some edits but wont be able to re scan until i'm back home.
  14. Just wanted to get a rough idea on the grading these two comics would receive. When i am back home ill re-scan with a colored background. As for visible defects; there is some kind of dried adhesive at the tops of both the front and the back, its can be clearly seen in the pictures.
  15. Even after 20 years there is no issues with keeping the same backer board?
