  1. I’m curious about a book I bought from a very well known dealer back in the mid 90’s if it has already been pressed. Any long timers here know when dealers started pressing high end books?

  3. To all concerned, Apparently I listed my books without realizing that a member cannot list books in multiple sites. Therefore, I am marking my books as sold in order to remove the listing. If a moderator is able to see this reply, kindly note that I was mistaken in listing this today, and apologize. It was not deliberate. It will not happen again. Thank you for your cooperation. Tom

  5. Wishing you good luck, and most importantly good health to you and your family during these challenging times. Stay well! tom
  6. Thank you. Once it’s sold, I will miss it. Bitter sweet for me since I’ve owned it forever. I’m not a Marvel collector these days.
  7. That’s very kind of you. I bought this 25 years ago when the book was affordable and way before the Marvel movies were even a consideration. I am very very grateful to have this book, and especially during what’s happening in our country today. Stay well, and I wish you and your family good health. Take Care my friend! Tom
  8. Thank you, and I appreciate everyone so far being so pleasant. Seems like a nice group of hobbyist. With everything going on in the world, coming here and spending time around the hobby is a wonderful diversion. I’m really enjoying the communication
  9. For Sale: Trophy Copy of Journey Into Mystery #83 CGC 9.2 NM/M Ask Price: $129,000.00 I am new to the board, and in the interest of full disclosure, I am not a dealer. I have been a comic collector for more than 25 years. I primarily collect high grade EC's, however I've have owned several Silver age Marvel Keys over the years. This copy of JIM#83 I've owned since the early 90's and was originally purchased from a very reputable comic book dealer who was formally an Over Street Price Guide Adviser. This book was purchased in a "Fortress" container and held in it since I've owned it. It had never been certified or graded until this February 2020, when I sent it into CGC. Additionally, this book has never been pressed, or cleaned. It is completely untouched, and in its original condition which is bright, clean, and in my opinion presents itself in a higher grade than its 9.2 I will accept Paypal, certified funds, or wire transfers. Once the funds have cleared to me, I will ship the book via FedEx fully insured through my third party insurer, ShipandInsure, for the full purchase price. I will double box the book, package and secure to fully protect against possible damage. All tracking information will be provided to purchaser as well, including receipt from FedEx, which I have an account with. No PL/HOS members The first "take it" posted in the sales thread wins. If we reach a deal via PM, I'll mark books SOLD in the thread as soon as reasonably possible - but if someone else takes the book in the thread before your PM take is acknowledged in the thread (by either you or I), the thread poster is the winner, I'm afraid; so, there is some risk of losing a book if you try to remain anonymous via PM. I kindly ask that you not Quote a book and then make a comment. It makes the book appear to be sold. Payment I'll expect payment within 7 calendar days of invoice. Shipping I will ship out within 3 days of payment clearing. Returns/Refunds There are NO RETURNS
  10. Thanks, your right. I’m overthinking about it. Have you used Joey on high end books? tom
  11. Not sure if you know of or heard of Susan Ciccone of the Restoration Lab, but I spoke to her recently. Sent her pictures, and graders notes from CGC. She said that theirs always a potential risk that even after pressing and cleaning, that CGC will recognize the book and grade it the same even after pressing. She also said theirs a risk the book could get damaged in the process, and transportation to CGC after. I’ve been told she is one of the best. Am I just being greedy and it could bite me in the ? tom
