  1. So I tracked my book that I sent on the USPS website and they say that it was delivered on 5/20 but when I track at the CGC website it says that they don’t have it. How long does it usually take for them to scan the box? Mike
  2. I always thought a 9.6 was virtually perfect. I mean I look at 8.0’s and can’t even see anything. I just went to my LCS...which isn’t very local, and he said a 9.0 was the highest. Everything is so subjective. Maybe he thought I meant a noticeable color break? I’m talking about something so small that you have to put your eye right up to the comic. First glance you won’t see anything but then there’s the FAINTEST little line of white. You can’t see it but it breaks color, know what I mean? Thank you guys for giving me your input on this. I think a lot of my comics are higher grades than I originally thought now.
  3. Cool, that’s really good to know. I’m seeing people listing comics on Feebay claiming NM but I see 1 or 2 barely visible spine/color breaks. So I’m thinking, no these are 8-8.5. Thanks for your input man. Much appreciated.
  4. Oh? I thought it was way less than that. From what I’ve been reading people are saying between 7.0 to 9.4. But that’s a huge gap right there. So your saying it’s possible to get as high as 9.6?
  5. Hello all! I’m sure this topic has been covered before but I can’t find the right topic or discussion board. My question is what is the highest grade a comic book can achieve with a spine stress that breaks color. I understand COMPLETELY that grading is subjective but there has to be a general idea. If you have a comic that’s pretty close to perfect but there is a spine stress that looks to break color what is the highest grade CGC will give? My question goes for a stress line that is almost imperceivable to a 1/8 inch tick, but in all circumstances there is color breakage. Mike
  6. Put it back in the vault. Try again in 5 years
  7. Holy cow. That’s awesome man! I wish I had the cash, you should keep that.
  8. I bought a press and have been pressing my own before I send them into CGC but I don’t know if I’m good at it or not, lol. All I do is put them in my “humidifier” for 6 hours and then press them for 6 hours at 160 degrees for 60 seconds.
  9. So I’m new to the comic book world, less than a year. I have 2 main questions after reading all the posts in this topic. 1. I have a premium membership which gives free grading notes on submissions. How do you get the notes? 2. Is it better to press a comic yourself or send it in to be pressed? Thanks for your feedback.
  10. I’m sorry to waste your time but my submissions just showed up. It’s the weirdest thing, I even logged out and logged back in. I refreshed, I waited 10 minutes it kept saying that there hasn’t been any submissions in the past 8 months. My submissions are there now, thank god.
  11. I don’t think the CDC would grade your comic... 😉
  12. Hello, I sent a modern and economy to be graded and it was received on 8/12/2020 but when I logged in today to check the status it doesn’t show any submissions. I tried looking them up individually by the submission number but there are no records. I’ve checked the status like every other day for the past 2 weeks and the submissions have been there except their status has been received. Today, BAMF, gone.
  13. Phew, ok. I was pretty worried about this one. Thanks a lot guys. Mike
  14. Is that what those bags are? This whole time I was using them to pack my lunches. I got like 20 of those.
