  1. As is, the book is stuck at a 5.0-5.5. If you find the right pro to do a really good C&P, the book could jump in grade. There are some pros who might be able to remove the water marks or at least make them less noticeable. Good luck and thanks for posting.
  2. 4.0 for me. The spine wear is the book’s biggest issue as far as I can see from the pics. Book will present well in a slab. Thanks for sharing.
  3. @altair43 , Are you referring to the books that were listed on eBay? If not, could you repost the photo with your book? just wondering if mine might also be in there... I didn't see my book in the sold eBay listings. Mine is a UK (pence variant) with a very noticeable pen scribble on the cover (picture below). I had sent it to Mike in June, 2020 for conservation work (tape and ink removal). If anyone has seen this book listed anywhere, please message me. Thanks.
  4. It has been suggested to me that Mike DeChellis reads this board. In the hope that this is true, Mike, Please return my Amazing Fantasy 15 (invoice #1741). At this point I just want the book back in whatever condition it is presently in. I have been more than patient in accommodating your personal problems that have presumably kept you from being able to return my property. At this point my patience is over. I have engaged an attorney and filed a complaint with the Department of Justice in Oregon. If my property is returned to me, I will drop my complaint. I just want my book back. Please!
  5. Mike claimed he was fully insured with CIS. It's even stated on the Hero Restoration FAQ page, but I never asked for proof. Yeah, I know... Really foolish! In my defense, I had used HR for several "big book" C&P jobs previously and the results had always been good. I guess I was lulled into a false sense of security like so many others here.
  6. Unfortunately, I am still waiting on my copy of Amazing Fantasy 15..... Mike has had the book for almost 4 years and I've been trying to get it back from him for about a year now. Obviously, my attempts increased exponentially after he was exposed in June/July. Mike replied to me by email back in December saying that he was sick with COVID and would return all of the books he had once he had recovered. Not sure what more I can do at this point. Praying he will eventually send me back the book even if it is in pieces.
  7. Congrats on the grade. It’s a beautiful copy!
  8. Wow! With a solid clean and press 9.2 (as is, 7.5). Grading this book without a professional C&P would be a real shame. One of the best pressing candidates I've ever scene for a Hulk 181. Good luck and thanks for posting.
  9. 6.0 with a really good press that gets that dent out of the front cover. Nice copy.
