  1. Excellent synapsis of the current selling market on E-Bay. Kind of a waiting game right now with people not buying and people not ready to blow out books. Not a good time to test out the auction market in my opinion.
  2. That is a sweet Thanos and I can see Shang Chi due to the headband but I really see Conan's chin. Great mystery box regardless.
  3. Are you sure that isn't conan? Sure looks like conan to me.
  4. If you are looking for the mega key books then New York Con may be best for you and if you like to hunt through boxes looking for a deal then Heroes is my pick and Baltimore has basically a great mix of everything. In other words - east coast is the place to be for great comic cons.
  5. I can't remember hearing how Harley did ever at a show - even second hand. Not sure if he is tight lipped or I just don't talk to the right people.
  6. I got my mystery box from KirbyJack last night. Thanks again for some Bronze Age goodies. My mystery box is all packaged up and ready to go out tomorrow
  7. The nice thing is Rebel Moon was MUCH better of a movie then Leave the World Behind even if it doesn't do the same number of views. I'd watch Rebel Moon again but you would have to bribe me with free food to get me back in front of a tv screen to watch LtWB again. I think everyone can agree Rebel Moon wasn't a knock it out of the park success but it was far from a flop.
  8. I did some searching and it does look like Netflix released some initial numbers which don't look great (24 million views over the first 3 days) but I'd be interested to see how it did over the next holiday filled week since it seemed to get quite a bit of buzz (not all good) after the first 3 days. Lets say it does 45 million views by now then wouldn't you think it would get a huge surge when volume 2 comes out (repeat watchers and people catching up)? If the pair cost $166 million but get a combined 80 - 90 million views would that be a bomb? I'd think keeping that many people talking about Netflix and entertained would be worth $2 a person.
  9. Without knowing how many people watched it over the Holidays there really is no way to say a drop is a bad thing. If 100 million people saw it then you would expect a quick drop since who would watch it again so soon? I'm not saying the watch numbers are great but unless we know it's really just guessing at if it was a success or not.
  10. Only losers when you are talking about those two movies. The recent John Wicks numbers look fantastic compared to those two duds.
  11. I had it at 6.0/6.5 but would have gone 6.5 since it presented so well
  12. I thought there was stain on the upper left back cover so I knocked it down to 8.0. If CGC thought it was fixing I’m surprised they dinged it that hard. Sweet looking front cover!
  13. thanks for taking it. I was debating with my wife if I should just take my own if it fell all the way to #27:) I’ve got quite a few nice books in right now so you should get a nice batch of books.
  14. Wait - you spent $4,000 on Tom and Jerry comics? I didn't know there was that many T & J books out there.
  15. My vote is for 8.0 copies. A lot of them look darn near perfect but cost a pittance compared to the 9.2 - 9.8 copies. Most casual buyers think most CGC 8.0s look brand new and they don't last long when you get them in. The price difference between a 8.0 and a 6.0 isn't enough to counterbalance the increased demand for the 8.0 copies.
  16. Based on the buzz on the street so did a LOT of other people. I've not watched any of it yet (working my way thru Season 2 of Reacher)
  17. Isn't it the law in Canada that you claim the cost of each item that comes into the country so they can tax you? Saying certain packages under a certain size probably won't be opened isn't exactly screaming that people should follow the law or most of what you posted would be moot. I'm not Canadian but I always post the actual price of books on Canadian packages for my own piece of mind.
  18. Richard Franklin, ‘Doctor Who’ and ‘Rogue One: A Star Wars Story’ Actor, Dead at 87 (yahoo.com) Sad news
  19. My - It's been pretty obvious that Marvel has been the darling of most reviewers and a lot of board members but that has changed since End Game. People seem to be just as critical of the recent slate of movies that Marvel has put out to rival the critical reviews given to DC movies. I'd even say Marvel movies are now getting more hate and criticism but the complete carp that DC has been putting out doesn't help.
  20. And hopefully better scripts. It's a rough market to be in (new movies) since there has only been a couple hits this year but there has been quite few movies that blew by the expectations (Oppenheimer comes to mind). The same old superhero flick is just stale and the studios need to find some unique and fun stories before they push more superhero flicks into the theaters.
