It says when necessary on their site which I believe means they give it a wipe to ensure no surface grit is pressed into the book but they don’t clean to the extent a good cleaner will.

if I’m wrong let me know but I believe this is all it is

So I sent my DD 1 in and asked for press and the clean or whatever . Here is before and after

Def some apparent room to improve with a clean on the back. A press sure but a clean is a must (need to find someone for that)

Id say 5.5 personally with 6.0 or so potential. The ink, while distribution related, bleeds a lot. A tiny bit and CGC might overlook especially if just on the back. Otherwise they will factor it in.

I thought a press comes with a clean at cgc?

probably not just by itself , the expense shipping it both ways is not worth it for just that book ... but of you have a stack of ten good books to be graded it would be worth adding that one to the pile

I go through my friends store so I don’t pay the shipping it goes out when they have enough books

yep if you submit anything its at least worth a quick press. only $10 extra  last i knew

did you notice the "hornead" spelling on the cover ?

I did now that you pointed it out lol. Was that ever corrected ?

and yea I would def press anything I send in. I meant is it worth getting graded you think

I have a complete DD run . I’m looking what I should get slabbed from it .

    9.6 - 9.8

Unless the corner on the front right is a crease, I wouldn't say that it a factor. If it is a crease that would bring it down to 9.2 - 9.4

The only issues that I can see for sure are color breaking spine ticks on the back cover.

It’s not a crease it looks like a slight nick . I can try to take better shots if that helps

No worries...I think we'll live.  I'll keep the thread demons at bay... :sumo:

A few of the pics are a bit blurry, but I'll go 9.2 in spite of that.  Clearer pictures might help though. (thumbsu

Appreciate it. I’m trying to see what I should submit for the private signing . I have one more I’ll post tomorrow

A Moon Knight 25 9.0 just sold on ebay for $90 in a cgc case

A Moon Knight 25 9.0 SS by Moench just sold on ebay for $250 in a cgc case

A Moon Knight 25 9.2 just sold on ebay for $90 in a cgc case

These are examples of a best case scenario...If it's for resale, maybe not worth it...if it's for your own collection, go for it

    2c or less

Yea it is for me I just don’t like putting money into something that isnt worth it. I think about it needing to be sold one day

Any "wear" will affect the grade on any parts of a book inside and out. Only known manufacturer defects will be overlooked when grading.

Press will not "help" or improve any defects that show wear such as the spine on your copy. Compare this spine to another book you own ( a recently published book ) to see the difference in the appearance.

Yea I understand that . I see spine wear on brand new books off the shelf these days
