  1. I got a notification that my card was declined this morning from my bank and I realized that this was due to the card number no longer bein valid. I had to replace the aforementioned card since making my submission. What should I do?
  2. So yesterday I pulled one of those secret rare Pikachu Vmax cards, but the centering is off by quite a large margin. I wondered if submitting this as an error card would be allowed, with an off center indicator on the label similar to how PSA does it. I'm not sure that this is what the error indicator is meant for, but I thought I would ask before submitting either way to see if this was an option. Thank you, -Will
  3. I personally see no reason why one could not "grade" a box on many of the same metrics as a single card. Are the corners in good shape? Is the coloration on par for what it is supposed to be? Is the surface scratched, dented, or otherwise marred? Is the box creased in the correct locations or is the art off-center? The way I see it, many of the same applications for single card or booster pack grading could, with relative simplicity, be applied to entire booster boxes. There may not be an accepted set of criteria that a box has to meet right now to receive a grade, but that does not mean that it couldn't or shouldn't happen. Ultimately, it comes down to what people find inherently worthwhile from an archival and collectible perspective. It's the same reason graded video games exist, to try and preserve a piece of culture and history.
  4. I was just charged on Wednesday an and my order still reads "received," but as I said before, there is a good chance that mine is some fluke due to by shipping problem.
  5. If people enjoy collecting those things, I see no reason why they shouldn't be permitted to do so.
  6. I don't know friend, if there's a market for it, I don't see why it shouldn't be considered. To answer OP's question, I cannot think of a company that certifies and encapsulated the entire package, but I would not be surprised to find that such a thing exists.
  7. I suppose, but some companies grade booster packs because people enjoy collecting sealed packs. Seems to me like the whole box is just the next logical step.
  8. When I read this, I interpreted it to mean NFC as in Near-Field Communication and I thought that we were talking about cards with chips in them like Nintendo's Amiibo cards.
  9. Hey friend, First of all congratulations on those pulls! Especially the rainbow rare, it's pretty cool! My advice would be to keep these cards clean and protected, while you acquire more. For semi-valuable cards, it's only going to be cost effective for you to get them graded if you have 50 or more to grade at a time, at least in my opinion. CGC will allow you to submit any card under $100 in declared value as part of the "Bulk" tier, which is often going to be the best and cheapest way to get modern cards graded. Hope this helps!
  10. If we grade the condition of individual cards, what difference is there really?
  11. I would love to see this done. I have a stack of jumbo cards from both Pokemon and MTG that would be cool graded pieces!
  12. My order was marked as delivered in my tracking system on October 17th, and was marked as received in the submissions section of my CGC account on October 29th. That being said, I made an error in my order that likely led to a longer time spent getting the order into the system. I would estimate about 10 business days from your order being delivered to CGC, and marked as such in the CGC system.
  13. The package was marked as delivered on October 19th. However, I am aware that I mistakenly addressed my shipment to the PO Box that handles Comic submission while this is an order of trading cards. I presume that the order is just in a box somewhere that hasn't yet been opened. I just wanted to know what to expect under normal circumstances.
  14. Alright thanks so much for your help! I just wanted to make sure that I wasn't supposed to be seeing something on my end. Thank you!
  15. About how long should I expect to wait between my shipment being delivered to CGC, and my order appearing in the Submission Tracking Section?
  16. How long should I expect to wait between my package being delivered to CGC and my order appearing in the submission tracking section?
  17. I used team bags to avoid the sticky tape residue but yes, this is how I shipped them.
  18. My estimate in that case, would be somewhere in the range of $40-70 USD although this is based only in speculation. I wasn't able to find any hard numbers relating to prices for this specific card, but I think that if you asked $60, you would probably get a bite pretty quickly. Considering it's a charizard card, you might even be able to get away with asking a little bit more.
  19. I have placed each card within a penny saver sleeve, and then into a toploader, in order to keep the card from moving around, I then put the toploader into a small resealable plastic bag that encapsulates the entire toploader tightly, and keeps the card inside from coming out. I just wondered whether it was alright to send cards that had been individually sealed in this way.
