Thanks for sharing!! Most people have never seen the Superman Great Britain pinback button. I know of only two examples and this might be the third depending.

Here's a great piece of comic history! Secrets Behind The Comics CGC 9.6 White Pages SS Stan Lee. This newly graded example is the highest graded copy on the CGC Census both as Universal and Signature Series.

For sale is pair of 10x18.5" sheets containing original pen and ink art for first/title page and page 24 of Golden Book "War Of The Gobots," published in 1984. The book was adapted by Robin Snyder and featured art by noted comic book artist and writer Steve Ditko, who is best known as the artist and co-creator, w/Stan Lee, of the Marvel Comics heroes Spider-Man and Doctor Strange Title page art features three different views of Leader-1 (the leader of the Guardians (good) Gobot faction), transforming from his robot form to his fighter jet form. This page has "Gobots" logo as well as "War Of The Gobots" title paste-overs and paste-overs for creative team and publisher information at bottom. Second sheet shows angry army officers pointing at "NASA" space shuttle wreckage to which Gobot human allies Hunter, Nick and A.J. standing nearby. Sheet has large book text paste-over at top. To the left of this is a 1x1.5" area of glue staining w/surface paper remnants, likely from misplacement of the text paste-over. This sheet also has "The Mystery Of The Gobots" title handwritten at bottom, crossed out and corrected to "War Of The Gobots." Both sheets shows some scattered lt. aging. Leader-1 has lt. trace of coloring on robot face but art areas are o/w clean and Exc. Art comes w/22 water-colored overlay sheets, one per page of book, missing just page 16. These have some rippling as to be expected from watercolor usage and just come along. Great 1980s Ditko art, featuring characters not usually associated w/this legendary comic book artist!

There are a number of rare Superman pieces in regards to the Macy's event including tickets, printed letters on letterhead, a very rare Superman kids costume (there are two different versions) which looks much like the costume the Superman actor is wearing, etc. I'll try and post some examples.

Wonder how long it would be before someone decided to dig up the book!

There are at least 25+ copies of Blood is the Harvest. CGC received a number of copies a few years ago when for a limited time they offered to certifiy the books for free. The CGC Census notes 17 copies graded and I know of at least 7 additional copies in collections.

I am not sure if this description is really true. I own 2 or 3 copies and there is one dealer on ebay who continually sells them, both in LG and HG. In any event, it is a cool book. I read through it the other day. The guy who is the star actually only died a few years ago at 101 years of age. I have heard this story years ago. Based on the background of the story it is true that only the small print run was discovered in Portland. I have no doubt that this is accurate. Now it might be possible that another print run of these turned up someplace else. I have a high-grade example of this book in my collection and when I purchased my copy it came with a high-grade example of the club card. This is the only example I have ever seen of the club card.

Oh! Now THAT'S interesting. Would it be possible for someone to look into the Marvel Comics #1 October / November mystery?

There should be some surprises in giveaways and promo books as there may still unknown books in this area. A couple years ago we figured out that The Junior Justice Society club kit featured a different dated copy of the Minute Man Answers the Call comic. Each year's book was altered so that the final panel included the actual date of the books release. Narrative Illustration and Good Triumphs Over Evil were first printed in Print Magazine. Print Magazine was available quarterly with a year subscription costing $2.00 in 1942!

Here is a unique letter and mailing envelope sent to a child in April of 1940. The child was trying to obtain one of the Supermen of America Prize Rings and this is the letter he received from DC Comics.

Marvel #1.

While not Wonder Woman comics. How about a rare letter that DC Comics Associate Editor Alice Marble sent out with advance copies of Wonder Woman #1 discussing the comic. This was distributed to prominent women in America.

Unfortunately I don’t have a photo of the book. About 9 years ago I acquired a collection which had a Detective Comics #140 what would have been a fine/very fine+ copy. The biggest defect was that the book had insect chew on it. Strangely, the only insect chew was on the issue number and the Superman Publication area of the cover with both areas perfectly chewed to the exact shape of the areas on the cover.
