  1. My bulk shipment was 02/10/2021 and they have not shipped mine out yet. I think they will ship it out pretty soon though because it has been in Grading/Quality Control for a while now.
  2. I just wonder why people don't see the long term benefit of grading companies being slammed and just concentrate on the bad. It means that the company is doing very well and many people are selecting them because they are reputable, that's a good thing long term for everyone who gets cards graded at the company they choose.
  3. I am a misprint collector and most of my cards not only cost a lot but are irreplaceable. None of you have anything to complain about lol.
  4. It would help everyone if there was less whining in the post to wade through. If you don't like turnaround times then don't submit cards. I keep coming back to get an idea of when I will see updates but have to sift through people complaining about the turnaround times. The complaining comments are spam and should be deleted.
  5. Just had a walkthrough order received 04/08/2021 and back in the mail on its way to me 04/14/2021 so as of this post the WK subs are still consistent. Just in case anyone has not noticed yet, the bulk orders have changed from 111 day TaT to 144 days. It looks like CGC is going to get flooded due to PSA closing its doors. I view this as great news because it shows a huge demand for this company and its a clear indicator that they will likely rise to become one of the big 3 for TCG grading. Don't be surprised to see the turnaround time be increased again another 30-60 days in the coming months guys!
  6. They don't open them just based on the day, they open for packages received for that entire week.
  7. I see the longer wait times as a positive. The high demand for CGC grading will most definitely make them increase their prices again and all the submissions you already have in will gain a little equity. They put quality before speed of service and that's a good call on their part. My sub was received on 02/10, I have another 97 card sub that I mailed in last week, and I have another sub that will probably go out in a few weeks.
  8. This member causes constant issues in the Facebook group this card was posted in. Nobody really takes him seriously. I approached him about his secret account he made to bash me here and he threatened to report me to Facebook for harassment if I ever contacted him again. He likes to stir up drama and then play the victim. He even reported one of my comments on here and got me a warning which is another clear indicator that it is him. Kind of sad really that he has nothing better to do with his time.
  9. I understand. I know that people could potentially scam others. There are serious repercussions for doing this though. If anyone was caught trying to pass off an NFC card as factory they would probably be banned from most of the misprint groups on Facebook. Its not something I condone and I have always made that clear to customers if they ask me about things related to the topic. Customers who want their sheet cut into singles.
  10. I personally love CGC and I plan to have all my misprints that I hold near and dear to me graded by them. Trading cards in CGC holders are not worth as much now but I think that down the line they will be. CGC has certainly got attention in the misprints community because they cater to us a lot more than BGS and PSA. The problem with NFCs and misprints is there are grey areas. For example. I have a card that is a test print for MTG but also came from a sheet that has an alignment error. An alignment error is when the front of the card is miscut and the back is centered or vice versa. This alignment error is basically an iron clad characteristic of a card that is factory cut and this fact is well known. My particular card happened to be NFC cut from what's called a make-ready sheet. Its a sheet that they use to test printing. So we get into a grey area. The card is technically misprinted but its also an NFC card. This is just one example but you get the idea.
  11. Magic is a game that you have a heavier player base rather than people who just collect. Pokémon has a much larger collector base and less people actually play the game. Pokémon also has a younger crowd so the average age is lower than magic. I am still not completely sure why the magic community is so accepting of NFCs but the Pokémon community is not but the above reasons are my best guess.
  12. Its strange. like BGS will grade any NFC card and they could care less. PSA wont grade them though because of the trimming/alterations. CGC has obviously made their stance known on the issue and has sort of a middle ground.
  13. Typically wotc only gives out foil sheets of more modern era sets so when you look for NFCs the cards being foil is a big giveaway. There are also non foils sheets that are known from older eras. Magic is all over the place and most of it is just knowledge based on what sheets exist in the wild and which ones do not.
  14. Yes I have heard these arguments many times over. Its honestly a conversation that goes in circles. What I do is not illegal and there are more than a few other players who enjoy the cards just as much as I do. Its one of those things where we will have to just agree to disagree. I could sit here and argue it all day but in the end you probably wont be that interested in my point of view on it.
  15. I am kind of lost on what you are asking. I feel like we are reading two separate sheets of music. I don't deal with any sports cards or comics. I collect misprints for Magic the Gathering and Pokémon. I am primarily a player so I like unique cards for my decks and collection. I can understand how trimming and restoring cards/comics to get a better grade is bad but in my mind its a weird thing to compare it to NFC cards.
