Just getting to this got home late last night. 6 points...one bullseye on the ASM 262 if my math is correct. I started the AV 10 at 8.0/8.5...and initially settled on 8.5. As I am a chronic under-grader, I bumped all my grades one grade...thus gave the AV 10 a 9.0. This worked out for me on 2 books and got me .2 closer...and negatively on one book the FM 13 and got me .2 more away and the AV 10 .5 more away. Pretty happy with this round...I'm usually pretty iffy on HG books especially beyond Silver Age. (If I would've left them as is would've been a 7 without the bullseye...)

I'll play. -
Well you start with it's minimum 4.0/4.5...presents very nicely so I'm at 5.0/5.5...not thinking it warrants a 6.0. I always grade books as if they were my books and I were selling them and want to make sure I have a happy buyer on the other end.

No worse than a 2.0 IMO. Possible 2.5/3.0 depending on CGC's grading mood any particular day. A full back cover pic would be helpful. Imagine this book put forth for sale with all the pics as a 3.0 I don't think you'd get crazy pushback. I think 2.0/2.5 is a safe position.

My worst round by 1 point...ugh. Four rounds 7/4/7/8 = 26 double ugh. I guess I don't know how to grade the old GAs...had 5.0 in the toggle for the first 4 books but started at 6.0 on the OBIE and went with 6.5 for the GA bump...the GA bump always seems to enter my mind as I think many GAs I see are overgraded by .5 to a full point for seemingly that reason. Did manage a bullseye on the PEP. THX for the diversion/fun Mike/CGC. CONGRATS to the WINNERS and TOP SCORERS!!

7 round for me...normally par or so for me but I had higher expectations...if I throw out the Supe/Lois book I'm at 4. Started off with a bullseye and then downhill from there...one off on two other books and then was at 6.0 for the My Secret Life book (1957) so off by 2 points but looks nicer especially when held up against the rest of the bunch (didn't even have a 5.5 toggle on that one only 6.0/6.5). I'll say it again...if I bought that Supe/Lois book as a 7.0 I'd be sending it back...

Got distracted and forgot to look at the reveal last night (wife and I watching the new FEUD: CAPOTE AND THE SWANS...really good/enjoying it). My best round yet...4.0 bullseye/4.5 had this book initially at 5.0/5.5 toggle and then last minute veered to 4.5 2 points/4.5 bullseye/7.0...had at 7.0/7.5 and toggled in wrong direction 1 point...and last book had at 4.0/3.5 and also toggled in wrong direction...that's a pretty fugly 4.0/VG 4 POINTS. On to ROUND 3

Was thinking there would be 5 rounds but I guess we're done. Dam was just getting warmed up. Anxious to see the final standings and Zzutak's metrics. Thanks again as usual Mike for the contest...always fun. I do maintain especially for older GA books that on any given day any given grader the final grade could be within .5 of two grades. So in that sense bullseyes are a result of skill but a good amount of luck as well landing on the right .5 increment.
