    Re: dwindling box office returns…

yeah, what you guys said, in addition to folks finding other things to do during Covid…folks haven’t returned to the movie theatres to pre-pandemic numbers.  Many folks (myself included) don’t feel the need to go back

Top Gun, Avatar, Spidey, and now Mario Bros., have shown plenty of people still go when the film is worth it.

PPP loans have to be paid back unless deemed forgiveable. Stimmie checks, rent and utility moratoriums caused many more problems for the working class than the PPP loans.

You can’t tell property owners they can’t collect rent for two years and expect them to not collect it on the back end, or even worse: sell their properties to larger property management corporations who require a much shorter ROA on their investment than mom-and-pop landlords.

Blaming the wealthy only goes so far, the government uses them as a scapegoat to cover for their mismanagement of every aspect of the economy.

LA County just extended the moratorium AGAIN. The end goal is what you stated above (eliminate mom ‘n pop) as now the need has clearly “jumped the shark.”

  3. “As expected, BLACK PANTHER: WAKANDA FOREVER (Marvel/Disney) swamped the box office worldwide.  Its $180M US weekend was below Doctor Strange 2 ($187.4M) and the original Black Panther ($202M, on a Presidents Day weekend).”

“Wakanda Forever is somewhat more frontloaded than its predecessor, down 33% on Saturday and a projected 30% on Sunday, compared to Black Panther‘s 13%/9%, suggesting that its US total may be more like the $411.3M of Multiverse of Madness (which had 36%/33% Day 2/3 drops) than Black Panther‘s $700.4M.”

sometimes I wish it was like the olden days - checks , money orders and cash wrapped up -- I had fewer problems 20-30 years ago than today , as several others would probably agree with that statement
