  1. Received some super books from Robert's VCC sale. Great transaction all around! Chris.
  2. Got a beautiful Crypt of Shadows #8 slab from Barton the other day. As usual top notch service and hey, the book was exceptional as well
  3. Got a couple of books from Dale the other day. Just beautiful books and a super transaction.
  4. That makes sense now Ken. When I saw that Howard was having health issues and selling bulk lots, I asked him to make up a custom box for me. I figured I have the money and he needed help. I suggested Corben, Crumb, Shelton, etc. What I got was incredible. I don't know if he knew time was short or not, but he sent me a full priority box of goodness. A full Run of Den 1st print, full run of Fantagor 1st print, Mr.Natural, Big Comics, Freak Brothers....all 1st prints and in high-grade. I was blown away.
  5. This terrible! I figured something was up as he hasn't posted on the boards since 8/24. I received an order from him on 9/9 and was waiting for another...it never came and Howard was very reliable to ship. I sent several PMs that were never answered and he'd never done that before. My last PM to Howard was on the 8th and was never read: "Howard, haven't heard from you in a while...everything alright?" I'm just sad.
  6. I'm pretty sure I posted them there but here are the three I was thinking about. Steve Ritter said the Cap #28 was the earliest he had seen. I have several others but they aren't "camp" books. Great books Bob!
  7. I echo gino's take on Bob. Truly a gentleman of the hobby and I suspect has more knowledge in his pinky than most of have in our brain. Bought two REALLY nice pulp quarterlys and a wonderful Dell Lone Ranger book. Can't be more pleased. Chris.
  8. Bought a couple of GA war books from Joe in his last sales thread. Apparently he had a tape mishap when packaging one of the books for shipping. Joe refunded the paid price and still shipped the book. Very nice gesture. Books accurately graded, well packaged and fast shipping. Buy with confidence (thumbs u
  9. Bought some MMMS items from Claudio and all arrived safe form Italy. Super transaction and fantastic items!
  10. Bought a beautiful Showcase #79 from Alex. Just a beautiful book and great packaging and shipping.
  11. Had a couple of recent transactions with Robert. Super books, awesome grading and great packaging and shipping. Top notch board member!
  12. You can order boxes from Gerber that all of their bags/boards will fit in. Personally I think the Gerber boxes are superior to others I've used.
  13. ^This. Super movie that exceeded my expectations. Absolutely loved it.
  14. Welcome Pilgrim:-) Soft Serve is great member as I suspect you will be as well. Welcome to the boards I look forward to getting to know you:-)
  15. Got a fantastic Weird Mystery Tales from Alex...iconic Wrightson cover with the werewolves. Perfect transaction, well packaged (although the baby on the Pampers box was kind of scary:-) I fear clowns and children Top notch transaction! A+++++++++++++++++ Chris.

  17. Bought two beautiful Four Colors from Robert and like the previous comment, packed bomb proof. And the books were wonderful. Top Notch seller! Chris.
  18. Bought a GA giant from Sharon during VCC (and I mean a GIANT!). She was able to get a 196 page comic book to me safe and sound. Super, super book! Thank you!
  19. Picked up a nice group of Hulks from Robert. As usual, nothing but the best! Thank you!
  20. Bought some beautiful prints from Joe during VCC. Just wonderful items. Perfect transaction.
  21. Bogie my all-time favorite actor! (thumbs u My goodness, the questions I could ask Bogie...aside from Lauren, what was it like to act with Ingrid Bergman or Audrey Hepburn. Damn, what a life. Just for the record, my favorite Bogie films are The Desperate Hours & Key Largo....2 of the finest films ever made.
  22. Amazing. I don't think anyone has picked the same Beatles song. Just goes to show how the Beatles affected different people. I'm 47...hell these guys were done as a band by the time I was a toddler and yet Rubber Soul is one of my favorite albums...go figure. Chris.
  23. First off, great questions. It will be interesting what the answers will be. 1. Time Travel. You think Dale Roberts and Foolkiller have good sales threads 2. Think For Yourself from Rubber Soul. My favorite Beatles album and such a great, great song. Written by Harrison by the way. 3. a. Humphrey Bogart. Nothing to say other than I think he was a master of his craft and possibly the greatest actor ever. b. The second is much harder...there is a long list...Tesla, Edison, Alexander the Great, Ben Franklin, George Washington, etc. All are great men whose brains I'd love to pick. c. This one is easy. Adolph Hitler. That way I could get drunk and Alexander, Ben, George and I could kick his sorry all over the room.
  24. Got a nice big old box of comics from Robert last week. As usual a great transaction and super books!
