I submitted my books to Comic Conline for the Michelinie & Bagley signings. They included pretty pristine copies of ASM #300 & ASM #361. (Not 9.8s but definitely contenders for 9.6) They confirmed they received the books and had set it aside for the facilitator, Agents of Slab. I never heard or received an invoice and when I contacted AoS they send they never received it. Having dealt with them before I tend to believe AoS as they do call to confirm they received your books. I haven’t gotten much of a response from Comiconline. Has anyone else had issues with Comiconline or with the Bagley/Michelinie signings? Just trying to figure out what to do...

Greetings all. I have been an active board member for a little over a year and I have had positive buys with Warren Oates, Spiderphill, catrick339, Dave 32563 and surfcitycomics. Feel free to check out my kudos thread. I have military orders to move this summer and because my knees and back are getting old I need to lighten some boxes before I move. To prevent accusations of stolen valor I have attached a couple of work pictures to prove military service. SALES THREAD RULES No HOS or PL members please. First I’ll take it trumps PMs or negotiations. PAYMENT INFO: Paypal payments please. Payment expected within 48 hours of invoicing. SHIPPING INFO: I can get two slabs into a medium priority flat rate box for $16. If you buy more than 2 slabs we can do a USPS shipping method of your choosing at cost. I aim to get shipments out within two business days of receiving payment. Shipping within the U.S. only please. RETURN POLICY: No returns on slabbed books please. Thanks for looking at my thread and I look forward to doing business with you.

Just bought an ASM 300 cbcs 9.0 for a great price. The comic surprised me how nice it was. It looks really good, and hasn’t been pressed. The main flaw is the chipped lower left corner (pictured). Do you guys think this 9.0 grade is justified? I was thinking of cracking it, getting it cleaned and pressed and submitted to cgc. I own an Asm 300 in cgc 9.4, and this 9.0 one looks way better IMO. Should I bother with clean, press, regrade with cgc, or just leave it? Does damage like this get penalized harshly? I was hoping a cgc licensed grader could chime in here. Does this damage smash the hope of this book grading better?

To anyone that cares to know, I have been told by a veteran member that people like to see that you post when they decide on doing business with you. So here I am writing this. My name is Jason and I collect with my Dad. We are from the Bay Area and collect High-Grade ASM. My Dad has been collecting off and on since 1970 and sold his last entire high grade ASM run almost 15 years ago. We decided to get back in the game at the beginning of the year and are already having blast hunting them all down again. Our focus is on ASM 1-150 and all keys after. As well as Annual 1-5 and other key Spidey appearances. 9.8-9.6 are the standards for our run. Exceptions being made to low census count most common in early ASM and black covers. We have done business with 4 people on the boards already and look forward to doing more! We use Go Collect and GPA when considering price. Are open to negotiating. Feel free to reach out to us at any time if you have high grade Spidey for sale or even if you just want to talk collecting! Happy Hunting, Jason

Evening everyone! I just received these books back from CGC and I thought I would offer them up here first. These were all submitted by me personally and were not pressed. These books will up for sale on these Boards for 48 hours only. Rules: NO PL/HOS members please - I think you know who you are. The first "I'll take it" in a thread will always supersede any negotiations via PM or emails. Payment: Paypal Goods and Services is just fine. Shipping: I ship USPS Priority boxed mail to US for $15 for up to 3 books. Sorry, no international shipping at this time. Refunds: Since these books are graded by CGC, there are no refunds. Any questions, comments or concerns, please feel free to reach out. Here we go!

Hi everyone, Usually, whether buying or selling, I'm over in Gold/Silver/Bronze playing with raw books. But I bought a collection today that had chunk of slabs in it, and an interesting mix at that. I'll share some here, and there's probably some for G/S/B down the road as well. (Lots of raw that is mostly for that section as well.) Happy to answer any questions I can; the seller told me the books belonged to a friend of his who passed away and the widow wanted them gone so he was selling them for her. He must have just slabbed by eye as there's no other rhyme or reason to what he picked to slab, but there's a few big misses (his early efforts I guess) then many 9.6 and 9.8 copper modern, and many 9.6 and 9.4 bronze. I have no idea if he had any of these pressed, but the raw collection indicates much more of a reader than investor mindset. Looks like slabbing pretty books was a recent passion of his. I'll get a few up to start as its late tonight, but there will be more. There's Universals and sig series, and a few Qualifieds that are all signed books that I guess were not CGC witnessed. Many of them have various COA's enclosed in their slab bag. Some of the raw stuff is signed too; clearly an autograph guy as well. Here's a preview; Rules in next post, then we're off!

Hey! I recently purchased an ASM 14 in fair condition that has the wrong back cover. Overall, it’s in pretty rough shape, with tape over the spine and the front cover. Would it be recommended to completely remove the current wrong back cover? If I do, should I replace it with one that matches the original? I was searching through eBay, and Sgt Fury 8 has the same back cover as ASM 14. I included some pictures below to give some context. Thanks, Joey

Typical "I suddenly have a large collection of comics and no idea what I'm doing" post. Plan is to sell them.. Silver Age-modern day. I've been cataloguing all of them as I go through them. Started with the 10/12 cent-ers and am now moving onto the 15+ cent bunch. In no big rush to sell, hoping to maximize value, so I've been trying to give myself a crash course in the last few weeks. Biggest challenge: getting a handle on grading, and deciding which may be worth sending to get graded. I've been doing research and making spreadsheets of for sale/sold listings on Ebay, Heritage, Comic Link, Comic Connect, and a few others sites... which is of limited value without being able to assess the grade of what I have. I've already submitted 3 (Showcase #22, Avengers #4, and Flash #105) in the "Hey, Buddy..." forum, and appreciate the quick responses. I'm not sure what the time frame for submitting 3 more is, but I have many more to go. I've been trying to study the other threads in there, but it's a lot to try to cram into my head this quickly! There are well over 2,000 Silver Age titles alone: Showcase, Action, Adventure, Detective, Brave and the Bold, Justice League, Fantastic Four, X-Men, Green Lantern, Spider-man, Batman, Superman, Daredevil, Incredible Hulk, Journey into Mystery, My Greatest Adventure, Mystery in Space, Strange Adventures, Tales of Suspense, World's Finest, X-Men, etc.... I've learned local shops are not the way to go unless you want to get seriously lowballed, though I did manage to get one to give grades on a few I brought with me, no clue if they're accurate). Another place flat out said they offered 30% of retail, which seems to be pretty standard among the few places I had visited/contacted, so I appreciate her honesty there Plan is: pick a few I was most sure would be worth getting graded, when those come back send in a second batch. Trying to keep expectations re: grades and prices those grades will bring realistic and accurate. The information on these forums has been the most helpful of everything so far. At this point, is there any reason to visit more of these shops in person if I'm not in a rush and there are better ways to sell them for more, even if they're slower and more labor intensive? Should I bother contacting any of these places like "Sell My Comic Books" or "My Comic Shop"? If so, send the full list of what I have with some scans, or pick out a certain number of the more interesting ones? Any suggestions for cramming grading knowledge in my head as fast as possible, besides reading the "Hey Buddy..." forum? Sorry for the long post, this is all super new to me and I have a lot to learn! Thanks!
