Westcoast Comic Con (WCC) is doubling their square footage to 7k square feet due to high dealer and collector demand. Moving to Maritime Labour Centre north of Hastings Street and Victoria Drive in East Vancouver, BC, Canada. This is a comic-centric pop culture show for the family. 6 foot long vendor's tables are $99 each, 7' long wall tables almost sold out at $125 already, free dealer's parking. Free customer parking in the neighborhood. Adult general admission $12, kids under 12 free admission. Hi grading aficionados, I’m interested in your potential grades for both covers on this Batman 55. Let me know if you have any questions. I will add that the interior page range from off-white to cream to off-white in color. The dot shaped void to the right of the N in logo on the outer appeared to be very old dry sticker residue that was removed. The grey circular mark in the Batman logo on the inner front cover appears to possibly and ink dot and it is visible on the inside cover but not the splash page. Thanks for looking. Cheers! The remaining images are the outer cover photos The next images are pics of the inner cover These images are pics of the interior of the book the last photos were taken before pressing. They are meant to show the tanning on the inside of cover 2 as compared to cover 1. Any corner bend were removed during pressing.

Don Newton is one of the most underrated Batman artists. Post your Don Newton art in this thread. Don Newton is the artist who made me love Batman comics as a kid while reading Australian black & white reprints. I didn't realise he was the artist until I returned to comic collecting a few years ago. Neal Adam's was the artist I assumed was responsible for them. He has a gorgeous, flowing style like Adam's. He died young which is probably why I didn't know about him. He is one of the few interior artists who in my opinion is better than some of the cover artists of the issues he did. Sorry Ed Hannigan fans. I've only just picked up a couple of his books so far from late in his career which is strictly speaking in the copper age, but he started and did much of this work in the Bronze age. He did the art on several Batman key issues. Below I've included his classic cover for Tec' 526 & an interior page from Batman 366 the 1st app of Jason Todd as Robin.

This comic-centric Vancouver, BC show is finally expanding into a two (2) day extravaganza due to high demand from vendors and collectors at the same Pacific National Exhibition (PNE) Forum location. Pop culture fun for the family. Most 8' long dealer wall tables already sold out. Vendor's tables sold as a $142 weekend package; no separate Saturday or Sunday only dealer's tables (not booths). Several $100 and $50 door prizes to be given away in the line up. Mostly independent press local comic creators. Hello, fellow collectors!!! First one to post a sales thread in this forum!!! Woo hoo!!! This is a sales thread for comic-related non-sport trading cards, mostly DC and Marvel, with some odds and ends thrown in. I also have common card sets, as well as extras, but I will only list sets that I want to sell. If anyone is looking for extra commons from a particular set, please PM me. I don't have trading cards graded by anyone, and I'm no expert. I'm much better with comic books, but I've given it the old college try with card grades. The conditions of the cards are estimates only, but feel free to message me with any questions or concerns in regards to listings. I use the current edition of Becket Non-Sport Almanac in order to estimate pricing, as well as eBay. Rules, rules, so many rules!!! No HOSers, no probies, NO EXCEPTIONS!!! Method of payment is personal/cashiers check, money order, PayPal. Paper payment is preferred, but I will accept PayPal until I can close my account with them for good. Shipping for high value cards include a penny sleeve and a card top loader. I will use card binder pages to ship multiple cards instead of top loaders. Using these will allow me to keep them flat between thick pieces of cardboard for extra protection. Any questions or concerns, please let me know. I will ship individual cards in their penny sleeve and top loader in a bubble envelope (or similar) for a nominal fee. Shipping them via Media Mail is technically not an option, since they aren't books. Items will most likely ship via Parcel Select. If more than one card is to be shipped, or a whole set, I will ship Priority with the buyer paying a portion of the cost. I only ship to the 50 United States. Sorry, no international shipping. No returns on products, unless they were damaged in transit. PM me pictures of the damage and we'll work together to find a solution. I will entertain reasonable offers, so please PM me. Hello everyone, I hope you are doing well, I've recently joined this community and even posted a question not too long ago - and got some helpful informative answers regarding "The Killing Joke". It is already signed by both Mark Hamill and Kevin Conroy respectfully, however if I wanted to added Alan Moore's signature along with Brian Bolland - how would I do that without losing the Signature Series title? Does the CGC offer that service? Thank you for taking the time to read this.

Hello, I hope you all are doing well, I have just got my hands on "The Killing Joke" signed by both Mark Hamill and Kevin Conroy along with "I am Batman!" written by Conroy, this is the first comic I ever got that was signed (I have been searching for it for a long time) it already has the yellow banner graded at 9.6, my question is: is that banner as good as C.O.A. because I was wondering to have it PSA certified, what do you all think? Post examples of artists adding in a 'portrait' of themselves or someone else into a comic as a character. I think Neal Adams based the appearance of a character, Aloysius Calbot, the villain in The Brave & the Bold Vol 1 93, on himself. I actually tried reaching out to Neal to confirm this a few years ago by messaging the Facebook page where he did live art presentations. I think his son is the admin on it. Anyway I didn't get a reply and now I never will. Maybe one of you gurus can confirm it for me. Maybe I'm silly but see the images below and judge for yourself. Post examples of where artists have based characters in comics on themselves or others. See the top right panel below, a drawing of "Aloysius Calbot" the villain of BB93. (I don't want to spoil it for anyone, so let's just say it's his one & only appearance ) In the same issue there is an article about DC artists who have won awards at a convention. Neal Adams won 2 awards and a drawing of him is provided. Unfortunately I couldn't get this website to display this image file the right way up. Anyway see the sketch near the top right. To me the two men drawn are almost identical. Here's the cover of the comic in question. I'm sure there will be people who disagree and say it's just a common look of the times or something
