Plastic City Comic Con is in year 3, and this year is shaping up to be our best yet! Saturday 4/21/18, 10am - 6pm, in Fitchburg MA. Admission is just $5, kids 12 & under are free, free parking. This year's Plastic City comic book guest of honor is none other than JM Dematteis!! JM has written almost all of the major DC and Marvel icons-including memorable runs on Spider-Man including the classic "Kraven's Last Hunt" storyline. He was also noted as reviving the Justice League in the late 80's with Justice League international and Justice League Europe! His success in the comic book medium has led DeMatteis to work in both television (writing live action and animation) and movies (creating screenplays for Fox, Disney Feature Animation. He has written episodes of the animated series Batman: The Brave and the Bold, Ben 10, Justice League Unlimited, and Teen Titans Go, as well as the animated feature Batman vs. Robin. Given the disagreement regarding the quality/ranking of the Batman #618 cover coming up for auction, I thought it would be fun to do a poll where people can vote for their favorite covers from the Batman "Hush" storyline by Jeph Loeb, Jim Lee & Scott Williams that appeared in Batman #608-619! I have deliberately excluded the two multi-board gatefold covers to #619, but am including the RRP variant to #608 and the second printing covers to #608 and #619. Anyway, to get a sense of what people's favorite covers are outside of the obvious choices, you may choose up to 5 picks in the poll above. I see that the new Boards' polling system is a piece of # $^& and that you can no longer limit the number of picks that people can choose, so, please be on the honor system and limit your votes to FIVE. This is gonna be a pretty cool thread with a nice group of books. Everything from $50 on up. A lot of uncommon stuff you don't see every day. At least 50 books I would say. I cannot even tell you what all is going up yet because I need to do pictures and make a list with prices tomorrow. The plan is to put about half the books up Thursday at 5:15 PM EST and the rest on Friday sometime. USPS Priority Shipping is $7 for raw and $15 for slabs, no matter how many you buy. In Canada it is $15 for raw and $25 for slabs for First Class. Overseas ships at cost. Raw returns within a week are fine- buyer pays return shipping. No returns on graded books. in the thread Trumps all PM negotiations. No list or probation buyers. Payment via PayPal or check. Checks must clear before shipping unless I know you REALLY well. Sorry- No previews or presales. I don't even know what all I am selling yet. I do this COMPLETELY on a whim as the moment comes.

I'm thinking of sending this in but I wanted to get some feedback first. How would you grade this? Cover looks really good. Some blunting/stress on the two top corners. My biggest question is the little green stain on the back cover near the top. It appears to be the same color as the cover. (Maybe something happened in printing or shipping when it was stack on other copes?? -just guessing). Also some dirt or foxing on the back cover? Could any of this be cleaned? Opinions appreciated! Thanks in advance!!

I have been listing more items on eBay, both 'Buy It Now" listings and auctions. In regard to auctions, I listed some that will end Sunday night, after the Super Bowl: THE AVENGERS #1 (1963); AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #135; IRON MAN #128; FIRESTORM THE NUCLEAR MAN #1 (1978); WEREWOLF BY NIGHT #33 and #37 (early Moon Knight appearances); X-FACTOR #92 (1993) signed by Joe Quesada , and with a weird, but kinda neat printing error on the hologram; BATMAN #200 and BATMAN: THE DARK KNIGHT RETURNS #4 (versus Superman)! Those are the auctions, and there are many cool comics among the "buy It Now" listings, too, as well as other nifty items! Comics Unlimited's eBay shop! Thanks!

I've been collecting Superman and Batman for quite a while, but I've been getting away from SA and BA books, so I'm going to be listing that part of my collection during the next few weeks. I started with the BA books, then the SA books, then add quite a few 10 cent books, early SA/ Atom Age/GA...whatever you want to call them;) I've had a few threads, this will be the last one until at least March, I have a lot to pack and ship. There will be 41 10 cent DC's, Superman, Batman, Superboy, Action, Adventure and Detective Comics. Since these are all raw books, I'm pricing by looking at completed prices on eBay, then I deduct what fees would cost me and a little more. I accept Paypal, checks or Money orders. First here or in a pm wins, by time stamp. If I can't determine the time stamp, the board take it wins. I will send invoices at the end, once you get the invoice, payment is due within 3 days unless we have discussed other arrangements. If you need time payments, it's not a problem, but please PM me before taking anything. Prices are going to be low on these books (at least I think they are low) All the books are raw, A few notes. None to the best of my knowledge,have been pressed or cleaned. I count the pages on every book. I look at the centerfolds to make sure they are attached, if they aren't, I note it. I look for missing coupons, and I grade the way I'd like someone else to grade for something I'm buying, but anyone can miss something or make a mistake. So...If I left anything out, just ask. I take returns on anything. If you aren't happy for any reason, plmk within 3 days of receipt. If I ask you to return the book, then I expect the return within 7 days, packed the same way I sent it. If you just changed your mind, shipping is on you. If I made a mistake, return shipping is on me. Shipping, I will charge exact shipping, but I will discount if you buy a certain amount. Spend $100 and get $5.00 off shipping, $200 and get $10 off shipping, if you spend $300 or more, I'll ship for free (in the US, in Canada I'll split shipping with you if you spend more than $300). If you live anywhere else, just pm me for shipping estimates before you buy anything. For the USA, I use regional boxes whenever it lowers the shipping price. I don't charge for handling. I can ship 2 regular (1 Giant) books in a cardboard mailer for about $3.00 3-5 books in a flat rate envelope with very strong boards (one will have a wood veneer) for $6.00 12 books in a regional box A for about $8 east coast, $11 West coast. (if it's less I charge the exact amount.) A regional box B is slightly higher but holds at least 20 books. I do not ship comics media mail, because the Post Office states they can not be shipped media (it's in their regulations) and I don't want to be responsible if there is a problem. Tracking is included and so is insurance (I pay for private insurance.). If you buy more than $200 worth of books, signature required is a must, but I pay for that in the US, in Canada, those packages must go priority. I can ship first class to Canada, but its not cheap. Max is 4lbs. I'm going to add a lot of freebies on the thread. I also add some kind of free gift to each order. -

You can see the vintage date stamp in the cover, but the book is very clean and tightly attached Superman 233 - This one is a little more rough than the Batman. Notably, there is a small bit of writing at the bottom of the first page. All tightly attached. Wolverine 66, Old Man Logan - This is a clean copy of the key Old Man Logan book. Ultimate Fallout 4 - First Miles Morales as Ultimate Spider-Man. Never removed from factory bag, looks pretty clean in the bag.
