This here is the prize thread for my 2018 Green Eggs Grading Contest! Feel free to make a donation, or even multiple donations. Please understand, you will be responsible for shipping worldwide, unless you state otherwise. As there are many contestants, I hope to see lots of prizes being thrown up. I will continue to update the 2nd and 3rd posts in this thread to recap what has been donated. What can you donate to the prize pool? Whatever you want, really. I wouldn't suggest offering up some really crappy stuff though, or things that are worth less than the shipping cost. I also would never ask anyone to donate multi-hundred dollar items, but that certainly has happened many times before. In the end, it's all up to you what you'd like to offer. Thanks y'all! -Andy -

I sent in a CBCS Thor book I acquired off eBay 10/22/2016. It was a 3.5. It came back today from CGC and had a new grade of 4.0. Very pleased with the new grade.

Hello. I found a "The Amazing Spider-man" #252 Mark Jewlers variant key comic signed by Stan Lee and Micheal Zeck graded by CGC at a high grade of 9.6 white pages. And it was selling for $37.00 on mrbeaina.com. https://www.mrbeaina.info/amazing-spiderman-252-cgc-96-dual-signature-autograph-stan-lee-michael-zeck-item-31959.html When I saw this I was asking myself if I was lucky or not. I mean it's a rare key comic that is hard to come by which is the first appearance of the black spider-man suit, and it's the Mark Jewlers variant it has two signatures from Stan Lee and Mark Zeck and it's at a high grade at 9.6. Well it was 72% off on that website. I mean amazon and ebay woulden't sell it at a price lower at $37.00. The most prices for that comic with Stan Lee or another signature that worked at marvel whether on amazon or ebay would be at high price. For mrbeaina. I think I might have gotten lucky. -

Hi everyone! Jeepers! Nearly another year has passed and guess what it's time for..... With the greatest of respect and a tip of my hat to the irreplaceable Nik, I would like to offer for your fun and enjoyment, the 6th annual CGC Green Eggs Grading Contest. On Friday, June 8th, I will officially start this grading contest over in the "Hey buddy, can you spare a grade?" section of the boards. This here is the sign up thread, for all interested. Everyone is welcome to join in. Please post here if you would like to play in this contest. It's a lot of fun, and there will be prizes. 1.) You will see 2 books per round, for 10 rounds. The contest will begin on June 8th and end on June 28th. 2.) There will be an approximate 48 hour time limit between rounds. I will confirm the end time for all rounds once the contest starts. I will send everyone a PM on the day the contest starts. You are to look at the books; figure out the grades and reply to that very same PM that I started with you. Again, this will be the same PM thread that you will use to submit all grades for all rounds. Please do not create a new PM for each grade submission. 3.) No changing of grades will be allowed once submitted. Post only one single, numerical grade for each book. If you post more than one grade (e.g. 8.5/9.0) then your submission for that round will be void. No excuses. As there will be 2 books per round, make it clear which grade is for which book. For example, say ASM #1 4.5 and on the next line say FF #12 8.0. Please don't screw this up. 4.) The page quality and any noticeable defects you can not see on the book from the scan will be given for each round. Do not PM with questions. Assume that all of the books have been pressed. The scans that you will be looking at will be of the book already inside the CGC case. 5.) Points awarded will be as follows; 5 points for a direct hit, 3 points for 1 grade off, 1 point for 2 grades off and -1 point for 3 grades off. If you are 4 grades off or more, I'm going to hit the "notify moderator" button. Yes, Ken Aldred, I'm talking to you. 6.) Prizes will be awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place finishers, and likely many, many more. From what we've seen in previous years, folks have been extremely generous and most people that enter will win a prize. Also,a booby prize will be given for last place. Last place is defined as the person who has participated in all the rounds and has the lowest score. You can not sign up, do nothing and win the booby prize. 7.) I have for sale Superman #76 featuring "The Mightiest Team on Earth!" where Superman and Batman learn each other's secret identities for the first time. It was graded recently by CGC as 6.0 (FINE) with Off-White to White Pages. $1,300 shipped free via FedEx Ground/Home Delivery with signature confirmation in the US, however Canadian shipping will be calculated based on actual cost. Paypal is preferred for both of our protection. I don't offer returns for changes of heart, but with the quality pictures I have uploaded there should be no surprises. I have an Amazing Fantasy 15 which I would guess would grade around 1.5 to 2.0 cgc. However at the top right corner about half of the cca (comic code authority) is barely hanging on. I want to get it pressed and graded but worried it will come off. Any advice? -

So a couple days ago I purchase a CGC SS comic book on eBay. It arrived yesterday and it looks a bit off. Can someone please tell me if the comic has been tampered with or completely swapped? (Pictures below)

I am not the OO of any these books. My grades are best estimates. USPS Priority Mail shipping will be $8 for 1-3 raw comics (flat rate envelope), and $13 for 4+ raw comics or 1+ slab (box). For any purchases over $100 please add $3 for signature confirmation. Insurance is optional. Only shipping to USA as of now. Payment expected within 24 hours of invoice via Paypal. I think my other thread got pulled because I had posted some copper/modern books in the GSB forum. I'm not exactly sure why the whole thread was pulled instead of deleting some of the modern books or without warning but either way I'm restarting this thread minus the copper/modern books.
