Hi there, New to the boards. Looking to purchase this TOS 39 from my local comic shop. The cover is detached, the tape is the only thing holding the cover together. Book is complete otherwise. Has it listed as a 1.8, I agree with the condition but just worried about CGC grading. Will this still get me a blue label? Thanks for the info.

The Twelve California Comic Convention ( CalComicCon ) will be held on Sunday, January 28th 2018. The show will be held in Orange County in Yorba Linda, held just miles from Disneyland and other attractions. We will continue to have a raffle that will have CGC graded comics, original artwork and sketches by guest artists. All paid admissions will receive a raffle ticket, extra ticket can be purchased at the show. Advance purchases will get three tickets, with a chance at a special online ticket holder only raffle. CGC will again be taking comic submissions and doing signature witnessing. This year the California Comic Convention will continue to place emphasis on vintage comic books. see dealers list and pics from past shows. So my wife hates white long boxes. She absolutely despises them. One nice thing is that companies have started printing images on them to make them less dull and more display worthy. But sadly, minus balancing a CGC comic on a shelf, has anyone figured out a nice way to display them? Of course, out of direct sunlight. But, it would be nice to actually see more of them. I thought about a type of slide rack system you could have on the wall to slide them in and out of, but I don't see anything like that. How do you guys display some of your favorites? Secondly, Does anyone store their comics anyway other than the boxes? I thought about getting a filing cabinet but they are a tad wide and not comic shaped. Whereas the box filing cabinets are of course, plain white... Any suggestions?

Hi everyone, Continuing a theme I started about a year ago, I'm offering a handful of CGC (all of which I submitted for grading) and one raw book up for sale, and I'm selling them because I've decided to slightly reduce my collecting focus. All but three of these books were purchased between 2000 and 2003 when I first got into collecting Silver Age comics, and as far as I can tell none of them have been pressed. Those of you who've sold raw books to me in the past know I ask a bunch of questions when I'm interested in a book, and I can say that none of these books have: Loose or detached staples Rusty staples A loose or detached centerfold Spine splitting Soiling, water damage, stains or fingerprints unless noted Tears unless noted Chipping or dents unless noted Major creases Any printing defects (printers creases, smudges, etc.) Any interior defects (tears, missing page corner chips, etc.) I will charge exact shipping to ship these books insured via USPS Priority Mail, and the shipping cost will depend on the number of books you buy and your location (I'm willing to ship anywhere in the world, but I know USPS Priority Mail shipping costs are high outside of the U.S. ). I accept PayPal, checks or money orders. The first gets the book, but I will also listen to offers via PM. I will accept a return of the raw book or make things right should you not be happy with it, and please No probies and HOSers. Now on to the good stuff...thanks for looking! Art -

Payment is due within 48 hours unless an alternate timeline has been agreed upon. 3 - Shipping within the U.S. is included for all purchases of $50 or over, and I will try to ship within 48 hours of receiving payment. For purchases under $50 you will have to add $10 for shipping.
