Hey everyone, I just dropped off my 3.0 AF15 at SF Comicon this weekend with a ton of other books and had some questions. A lot of my books I sent in for a thorough cleaning and pressing with CCS before stabbing, some I just had slabbed and some reslabbed. Brittany at CGC was helping me and she was awesome. My question is should I just have this AF15 reslabbed or pressed and cleaned first. I will include all the CGC notes, pictures and video for your help. It has no Marvel chipping and I am nervous of chipping showing up after a press and clean. I would be totally fine if a clean and press sent this back to me as just a prettier 3.0 or better but dropping to a 2.5 would be hard to swallow and to come back labeled with Marvel chipping would hurt even more. Any and all advice is happily accepted! I buy a lot of comic books on eBay and sometimes when I make my purchases I can't help but wonder that I might have paid too much. No I don't mind paying a little extra for a book that really want but at the same time I don't want to get ripped off. Is there any way for me to authenticate the value of the cgc graded book aside from me going by other sellers auctions on eBay? For example I'm trying to get Omega Men #3 graded at 9.8 white pages the seller wants $250. At the moment I'm negotiating the price with the seller but I don't know what is a fair offer and what isn't. Can I get a little help please? -

Hello, my friends! Welcome to the 5th annual CGC Green Eggs Grading Contest. 1.) You will see 2 books per round, for 10 rounds. 2.) There will be a 48 hour time limit between rounds. (I will likely change this to a set finishing time, ie. rounds end at 10:00 PM EST, going forward.) Look at the books; figure out the grades and PM sckao and I your answers via the group PM that I have created for us. This will be the same PM thread you will use to submit all future grades. Please do not create a new PM for each grade submission. If you have not received a PM from me, and have signed up, please let me know right away. 3.) No changing of grades will be allowed once submitted. Post only single, numerical grade for each book. If you post more than one grade (e.g. 8.5/9.0) then your submission for that round will be void. No excuses. As there will be 2 books per round, make it clear which grade is for which book. For example, say ASM #1 4.5 and on the next line say FF #12 8.0. Please don't screw this up. 4.) The page quality and any noticeable defects you can not see on the book from the scan will be given for each round. Do not PM with questions. Assume that all of the books have been pressed. The scans that you are viewing will be of the book already in its CGC case. 5.) Points awarded will be as follows; 5 points for a direct hit, 3 points for 1 grade off, 1 point for 2 grades off and -1 point for 3 grades off. If you are 4 grades off or more, I'm going to hit the "notify moderator" button. 6.) Prizes will be awarded to a certain number of players. This will be dependent on the number of prize donations that we receive. Feel free to donate a book, if you would like. The PRIZE THREAD is located in Comics General. Also,a booby prize will be given for last place. Last place is defined as the person who has participated in all the rounds and has the lowest score. You can not sign up, do nothing and win the booby prize. 7.) As always, many thanks to sckao who has agreed to help me with the score keeping and all the other fun stuff that comes with these contests.

This here is the prize thread for my 2017 Green Eggs Grading Contest! Feel free to make a donation, or even multiple donations. Please understand, you will be responsible for shipping worldwide, unless you state otherwise. As there are many contestants, I hope to see lots of prizes being thrown up. I will continue to update the 2nd and 3rd posts in this thread to recap what has been donated. What can you donate to the prize pool? Whatever you want, really. I wouldn't suggest offering up some really crappy stuff though, or things that are worth less than the shipping cost. I also would never ask anyone to donate multi-hundred dollar items, but that certainly has happened many times before. In the end, it's all up to you what you'd like to offer. Thanks y'all! -Andy

I got an Amazing Spiderman Issue 100 signed by Stan Lee and then submitted to CGC from I'm assuming "Stan Lee Collectibles" and paid (I think too much $156) which included express shipping which is supposed to be around half of the 50 day standard. It has nearly been two months since the con and I have not yet received anything yet, is this normal or should I be worried? Because I am worried.
