Good evening, my question is that whenever you send a book in to be recased, will the grade stay the same? I have a couple of Pedigree books that I want the new Pedigree Label for and a 9.9 book I want to be in a new case. Thank you for your time

I was wondering how long it takes for the status of "received" to "grading" for an express CGC trading card submission. My status was updated to received on 3/23/21 and today is 4/7/21 now. I haven't seen any movement or update from CGC. This is my first time submitting to CGC so I am unsure if this was normal. I was confused since I submitted an express order. Anyone got any info on this?

For me, having only recently gotten into collecting graded comics, so far it is 9.8 Spawn #9, written by Neil Gaiman & signed by Todd McFarlane: Reasons: Spawn toys were my favorite things to collect growing up (Spawn comics not so much) My sister's name is Angela! (she makes first appearance) Todd McFarlane is one of my idols, but only for his creative prowess as he was quite vicious as a businessman, going against his original creed for starting Image (preserving creator-owned rights) by battling Neil Gaiman for the rights to Angela in courts for over a decade (Neil prevailed then swiftly sold the rights to Marvel) Jim Lee is one of my idols and drew a poster in the book Which CGC comic is your pride and joy and why?

Hello ! I am a comic book collector and a huge DC Comics fan. I managed to have some very rare comics in convention that I would like graded and slabed in CGC. But I live in Belgium! According to the site, I can send my comics to be slab CGC in UK, but how can I receive it in Belgium? Is anyone in the same situation? Thank you for your help ! JLD

ANOTHER MIXED SALE FROM RUPP'S SLEIGH OF YAY! CELEBRATING MY 10TH YEAR ON THE BOARDS ! SOME SWEET COVERS AND RARE BOOKS TO KEEP, SLAB OR RESALE ! "RUPP'S SALES ARE BIGGER, BETTER, STRONGER, LONGER, FASTER, DEEPER AND MORE LIKELY TO GET YOU NOT ONLY WHAT YOU WANT, BUT WHAT YOU NEED !" - A CUSTOMER QUOTE GIDDY N' GIGGLY DECEMBER SALE ! REMEMBER THE MORE YOU BUY... THE MORE YOU GET PAYMENT DUE WITHIN THREE DAYS OF INVOICES GOING OUT I HAVE A FEW SIMPLE SELLING STATEMENTS / RULES BELOW. THEY WILL BE FOLLOWED TO THE LETTER...NO EXCUSES PLEASE. PLEASE READ & ABIDE BY THEM ! ALL LOW HANGING FRUIT OFFERS WILL BE TREATED AS SUCH. The simple rules... - 1st in the sales thread beats ANY agreement between parties via PM or elsewhere. It's fine if someone wants to post the " sign pending scan"... but realize if someone posts the sign after you without a "pending scan" notation, then their will trump yours. If someone posts in the sales thread in the time it takes me to mark it sold to you from your PM, you also will lose item. If you're really worried about losing the item, then you better post it here in the sales thread - Paypal only please. Your paypal address must be confirmed and I only ship to the confirmed address noted in your paypal account. Not verified? Then get verified. Paypal Goods & Services only for your protection and mine. - No probies, HOS, people who I choose not to sell to... or those on my personal ignore list. If you are on one of these lists, I will tell you in the thread to please delete your "take it"... and go elsewhere. - Payment required within three days of me sending you an initial invoice unless prior arrangements are made beforehand. If you want to add to your invoice, that's fine... but it's still THREE DAYS after you're sent the INITIAL invoice. This rule is in place regardless of weather or not you read the invoice and leave it flashing in your inbox. I try to plan all this out so I can get paid fast and ship fast with minimal trips to the PO. Realize that after the three days after I send your initial invoice, books are back up for sale. By winning my book(s), you agree to this. Not trying to be wank-ish, just more efficient. Not really interested in time payments, as I need these books out the door. - Shipping will be Medium Flat Rate boxed and insured for USA Paypal confirmed addresses and is $13.95 PLUS INSURANCE OVER $200 (the post office now charges $15.05 for this service so if you do the math, I'm charging $1.10 less than actual base cost). If additional priority mail boxes or a larger box is/are needed for your merchandise, then please note, the shipping price will go up. I promise you I'm not in this to make money off of shipping. Please don't whine about the shipping cost after the fact... it's posted right here. Please don't ask me to ship any other way. If you buy only one $3 book...it's still going to cost you $13.95 to ship it. Insurance is required on all purchases but to offset postage cost, I am also picking up the insurance on these up to $200, after that you can help out with the rest. I like using the Flat Rate boxes and they offer a superior amount of protection, so it's worth the cost. All this has been explained in detail, so please take a breath before you decide to embarrass yourself and complain about the shipping cost. Also note that due to circumstances beyond a normal American's control, post office delivery times have been off since the "Age Of LeJoy" began this past year The Flat Rate Priority Mail box shown here shows 40 bagged and boarded comics next to it to gauge the approximate amount of books it can safely hold. I can try to get more in (depending on the size of the books) by taking out some boards and still pack safely. This isn't a definite gauge, some books are thicker than others. Consider this a guide. The next size up box available is the Flat Rate square box that costs approximately $21. Both are well made boxes and if you've ordered from me before, you know I try my best to protect the contents. - PLEASE NOTE: I am NOT currently shipping outside of the USA at this time. - Returns gladly accepted within 7 days of receipt of package at buyer's expense. That said, if you cannot follow my simple return instructions (depending on the situation), then no return for you. Need to see how legit I am... here are 30+ pages of my kudos. http://boards.collectors-society.com/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=4281199#Post4281199&fpart=1

I have the comic the maxx 1/2. There are four versions of this comic book purple foil, gold foil, red foil, and blue foil logo (on the cover). Mine does not have any foil logo on the cover. I had just got this back from cgc and they labeled it manufactured without purple foil logo. And I'm assuming they put it in the census under the category purple foil logo. I was wondering why this comic book would be labeled under the purple foil logo because it does not have any foil on it whatsoever. My first question is how could cgc possibly know that it was the purple foil version of this comic book? My second question is shouldn't it be in the category the maxx 1/2 and in the sub category titled manufactured without foil logo? Right now it's in the subcategory purple foil logo. How do I get this corrected and have a in its own category labeled manufactured with no foil logo? I've seen other comic books with a similar manufacturing error like venom lethal protector number one there is a Black version and a white version. Both these versions are missing foil on the cover like mine. And they both have their own category in the census. I would think this comic book also deserves to have its own category am I correct in saying this?

Why is cgc so inconsistent with there grading and census process?
-
I just received a CGC slabbed comic. It was left at my front door for 2 hours, before I discovered it. It was raining outside. However, the box was left on my covered porch. When I went to open the box, I felt it was slightly damp. Inside the slab was wrapped tightly in 3 layers of plastic bubble wrap. The bubble wrap was neither damp nor wet. Could my new slabbed CGC comic be damaged in any way by the humidity, or is it fine due to the bubble wrap?

Hi guys, I am about to do my first CGC comics submission using the online form and hope you guys can help with my question here: I fully understand that I need to pack my books in the exact order listed from the generated packing slip rather than the order I submit my books in the form. However, I would like to pack my books in certain order so I am wondering if the packing slip order is generated with certain logic so I can adjust the order I submit my books, so that when packing slip is generated, the packing slip order is the order I intend to pack my books. Not sure if it is possible but I think it's worth asking here before I try it myself. Thanks heaps in advance!

I do not own any slabs, and I am unsure of whether or not I want to start down the path. I know that some people love cgc books and some love raw book. I understand there are a multitude of factors that go into whether someone does graded vs. raw books (cost, aesthetic etc.), but I want to get some of you all's opinions on whether I should start collecting graded comics.

Fellow comic nerds, I've got a ton of books being auctioned on Heritage -- some ending in a few hours, lots for way under market! Keys like Spidey 1, 14, 129; FF 1, 2, 4, 45, 49, 50, Annual 6 -- lots signed by Stan. That's just today. So many more great keys coming in the next few weeks. I had to sell my entire collection for a downpayment on a house -- wife mandated. I had to let go of my "from my cold dead hands" mantra. Happy wife, happy life.
